    摘要: Catalase enzymes derived from bacteria from the genera Alcaligenes (Deleya) and Microscilla are disclosed. The enzymes are produced from native or recombinant host cells and can be utilized to destroy or detect hydrogen peroxide, e.g., in production of glyoxylic acid and in glucose sensors, and in processes where hydrogen peroxide is used as a bleaching or antibacterial agent, e.g. in contact lens cleaning, in bleaching steps in pulp and paper preparation and in the pasteurization of dairy products.

    摘要: Binding polypeptides comprising specific amino acid sequences are disclosed that specifically bind ACE-2 protein or ACE-2-like polypeptides. The binding polypeptides can be used in methods of the invention for detecting, isolating, or purifying ACE-2 protein or ACE-2-like polypeptides in solutions or mixtures, or biological samples. The invention also relates to nucleic acid molecules encoding these ACE-2 binding polypeptides, vectors and host cells containing these nucleic acids, and methods for producing the same. The present invention also relates to methods and compositions for detecting, diagnosing, prognosing, preventing, treating or ameliorating a disease or disorder associated with aberrant ACE-2 or ACE-2 receptor expression or inappropriate function of ACE-2 or ACE-2 receptor, comprising use of ACE-2 binding polypeptides or fragments or variants thereof, that specifically bind to ACE-2.

    摘要: The invention relates generally to fusion proteins comprising at least one therapeutic protein or vaccine antigen and alpha fetoprotein. The therapeutic protein or vaccine antigen can be, for example, a peptide, antibody, fragment thereof, or variant thereof. The therapeutic protein or vaccine antigen is fused to alpha-fetoprotein, an alpha-fetoprotein fragment, or an alpha-fetoprotein variant. Also encompassed by the invention are nucleic acids encoding the fusion proteins of the invention, vectors comprising such nucleic acids, and host cells transformed with such nucleic acids and/or vectors. Methods of making and using the fusion proteins, nucleic acids, vectors, and host cells are also encompassed by the invention.
