摘要: An injection molding method and system for an electrical circuit utilized in vehicle door latch mechanisms is disclosed herein. A mold is generally provided in which a mold cavity is formed therein from walls of the mold. An electrical circuit associated with vehicle door latch and/or integrated with the vehicle door latch can be located within the mold cavity. A plastics material can then be injection molded into the mold cavity of the mold, wherein the plastics material covers and seals the electrical circuit to provide insulation and environmental protection to the electrical circuit.

An electromagnetic device selectively causes movement of the intermittent motion mechanism thereby moving a mechanical device coupled thereto. In another aspect of the present invention, a single electric motor selectively actuates two or three intermittent rotary motion mechanisms thereby causing separate mechanical devices coupled thereto to operate within an automotive vehicle.

摘要: Latch control methods and systems are disclosed, including a latch that receives power from a motor associated with a latch. A sensor can be provided for monitoring the current consumption of the motor. A microcontroller can control the latch and/or the motor, based on the current consumption data received from the sensor concerning the current consumption of the motor. Monitoring of the current waveform of the motor therefore provides speed and direction feedback data for control of the latch. Additionally, a microprocessor can process instructions for controlling the interaction of the motor, the latch, the sensor and/or the microcontroller. Such a current monitoring control system is made possible by variation in current consumption of the motor during rotation as a result of commutation, which can be interrogated by measuring the voltage drop across the motor or a shunt resistor, or through the use of other current sensors, such as, for example, a Hall-effect type current sensor.

摘要: A window wiper system for an automotive vehicle has an electromagnetic device, a rotatable member and a window wiper oscillating mechanism. In another aspect of the present invention, the electromagnetic device is an electric motor which operates in a unidirectional manner to oscillate a window wiper assembly back and forth in a normal window wiping range. The electric motor and rotatable member then reverse rotational direction to move the wiper assembly to a park position offset from the normal window wiping range.

摘要: In accordance with the present invention, the preferred embodiment of a movable gear drive windshield wiper apparatus employs an axial motion mechanism and a bidirectional driving mechanism. Rotation of a rotatable member in a first direction causes a transverse movement of the rotatable member along a ball screw shaft of the axial motion mechanism to a first position where it rotates in a given plane. Rotation of the rotatable member in the opposite direction causes the rotatable member to move down the ball screw shaft to a second position where it rotates in a second given plane. In another aspect of the present invention, the bi-directional driving mechanism rotationally drives a driven member such that the driven member is oscillated by continuously rotating the rotatable member in the first direction. In a further aspect of the present invention, the rotatable member selectively actuates a plurality of discrete motion mechanisms thereby causing a plurality of mechanical devices coupled thereto to operate.
