摘要: A cellular radiotelephone communication system cell site equipment is provided. The cell site equipment includes a radio frequency transmitter operating as one signal frequency source. In addition, the cell site equipment includes a first and a second signal combiner device tuned to a first and a second signal frequency, respectively. Further, the cell site equipment includes a radio frequency switching mechanism, operatively coupled to the radio frequency transmitter, the first signal combiner device, and the second signal combiner device, for coupling the radio frequency transmitter to either of the first and the second signal combiner devices. In one embodiment, each signal combiner device includes a resonant cavity for isolating a signal frequency source from other signal frequency sources and a coupling for coupling the isolated signal frequency source to a common transmitter output. In an alternative embodiment, each signal combiner device includes a resonant cavity for isolating a signal frequency source from other signal frequency sources and a coupling for coupling the isolated signal frequency source of the first and the second signal combiner device to a first and a second common transmitter output, respectively.

摘要: Apparatus can comprise an anoxic zone, an aeration zone in communication with the anoxic zone, and a sedimentation zone in communication with the aeration and anoxic zones. The sedimentation zone may include a first outlet in a lower portion thereof adapted to recycle material. A device may be provided to control the flow rate of the recycle material. Another device may be positioned relative to a sedimentation zone inlet and adapted to manipulate a material flow profile as material travels into the sedimentation zone. A sedimentation zone may also define an inlet comprising an overlapped area. Methods for purifying a waste inlet material comprise the steps of providing an anoxic zone, an aeration zone and a sedimentation zone. The methods may comprise the step of recycling material from a first outlet in a lower portion of the sedimentation zone.

摘要: Compositions and methods for the detection and therapy of breast cancer are disclosed. The compounds provided include nucleotide sequences that are preferentially expressed in breast tumor tissue, as well as polypeptides encoded by such nucleotide sequences. Vaccines and pharmaceutical compositions comprising such compounds are also provided and may be used, for example, for the prevention and treatment of breast cancer. The polypeptides may also be used for the production of antibodies, which are useful for diagnosing and monitoring the progression of breast cancer in a patient.

摘要: The invention provides a rigid endoscope utilizing a high refractive index (HRI) tunnel rod, preferably made of glass, for transfer of image light from a distal end to a proximal end of the device, such HRI tunnel rod being modified so that a minimum of light is scattered and reflected within the rod, thus minimizing veiling glare and contrast reduction of the image which is formed near the HRI tunnel rod's proximal end. The HRI tunnel rod shortens the apparent distance from the proximal to the distal end by virtue of its refractive index being greater than that of air, and also provides a light tunnel which can carry the image over a relatively long distance by virtue of its modified inside walls. A preferred method of modification includes hydrogen firing of the HRI tunnel rod in order to create a thoroughly blackened inner surface which is highly non-reflective, even at grazing incidences. Relatively simple lenses are incorporated at the ends of the rod for image formation so as to cover a wide object field and to relay the image to a video camera. Stereo measuring embodiments of the endoscope provides dual optical paths for yielding two images containing parallax data.

摘要: A dishwasher rack assembly includes a first elongated rod extending across the rack bottom in one direction and a second elongated rod extending across the rack bottom and crossing the first rod at an angle. A comb includes a base rod overlying the first elongated rod and a finger projecting outward of the base rod. A connector includes a first pair of spaced apart walls forming a first downwardly open recess receiving the rods in a vertical array; a second pair of spaced apart walls forming a second downwardly open recess receiving the second elongated rod; and a third set of spaced apart walls forming a laterally open recess intersecting the first and second recesses and receiving the finger so that the comb can be moved between a position with the finger extending upward and a position with the finger lying parallel to the first and second rods.
