An in-band data communication apparatus using a wireless power may include a modulating unit configured to modulate data by mixing a predetermined signal and pulse signal-type data; a demodulating unit configured to detect reflected power generated due to impedance mismatching between a source resonator and a target resonator, and to demodulate received data based on a variance of the reflected power; a source resonance unit configured to transmit transmission power including the modulated data to the target resonator, and to receive the reflected power; and a controller to control the pulse signal-type data, and to control impedance matching between the source resonator and the target resonator.

    摘要: A waveform synthesis technique for radio frequency identification (RFID) transmitters and an RFID system making us of the technique are disclosed. The RFID transmitter in example embodiments synthesizes a continuous transmitter waveform from a symbol alphabet without Nyquist or interpolation filters. High spectral occupancy waveforms are achieved which include the ability to do both linear and nonlinear predistortion with no increase in computational load once the signal set has been adapted to compensate for linear and nonlinear distortion in the transmitter analog circuitry. A polarity generator can be used to impart the required polarity to each waveform. The RFID transmitter can be employed in RFID readers to reduce the computational requirements of the digital signal processor (DSP).

    摘要: A method for processing an audio signal (i(t)), comprises: receiving a first set (x(t)) of time-varying signals representing a first sound comprised in the audio signal (i(t)), the first set (x(t)) of time-varying signals comprising an amplitude modulation signal (a(t)), a carrier frequency signal (fc(t)), a pitch signal (f0(t)) and an FM index signal (h(t)); and modifying the first set (x(t)) of time-varying signals by modifying the amplitude of the FM index signal (h(t)), thereby providing a first modified set (x′(t)) of time-varying signals. The resulting first modified set (x′(t)) of time-varying signals may subsequently be modulated to provide an audio output signal.

    摘要: Methods and systems for amplitude modulation in a parametric speaker system are provided that perform truncated double sideband (TDSB) frequency modulation of audio signal in which most of the processing is performed in the frequency domain, thus permitting use of fast processing techniques for amplitude modulation (AM) and filtering and reducing computation cost over time domain processing. A maximum envelope value of the time domain audio signal may be to the carrier signal in the frequency domain that avoids emitting the carrier signal when the input signal level is low or mute. The application of the envelope value may be smoothed to reduce discontinuity at input block boundaries.

In some embodiments, a supply path (36, 40) and a gain path (38, 42) are provided in each of an I-channel and a Q-channel. The supply path (36, 40) produces a variable voltage and the gain path (38, 42) produces a gain control signal. The variable voltage and gain control signal are used by a variable gain power amplifier (44, 46) to modulate a local oscillator signal to produce a modulated radio signal.

The digital amplitude modulator is configured to modulate the amplitude of an input carrier signal based on input digital data and generate a corresponding output signal. The digital amplitude modulator includes a first variable gain amplifier for receiving the input carrier signal and generating a corresponding first amplified carrier signal, a second variable gain amplifier for receiving the input digital data and generating corresponding digital amplitude control data and a plurality of selectively activatable amplifier stages. Each amplifier stage receives a replica of the first amplified carrier signal and generates a corresponding second amplified carrier signal when activated. The output signal corresponds to a combination of the second amplified carrier signals generated by the activated amplifier stages.
