摘要: A connectivity system capable of use with a desk (199) having a surface containing an aperture (120) includes a grommet (210, 610, 1010, 1210) and a connection hub (220, 620, 1020, 1220). The grommet has an interior surface (212, 612, 1012, 1212). The connection hub includes a connection port (221, 621, 1121, 1321) and a perimeter (222, 622, 1022, 1222). The surface of the desk defines a first plane (150) that forms a division between a first side (160) of the first plane and a second side (170) of the first plane. A portion of the perimeter of the connection hub is spaced apart from the interior surface of the grommet such that the perimeter and the interior surface define a passageway (310, 710, 720, 1070, 1080, 1270) therebetween through which a cable may be passed from the first side to the second side of the surface of the desk.

摘要: A method for telephony includes receiving at an Internet telephony service provider a subscriber request to place a call to a telephone number. A cache associated with the internet telephony service provider is queried to check if the cache holds a record for the telephone number. If the cache holds the record, the record is obtained. If the cache does not hold the record, a request is sent to a database server that maintains a database of records associating endpoint user terminal telephone numbers of subscribers with respective packet network addresses of the endpoint user terminal. The call is placed to the endpoint user terminal telephone number via a public switched telephone network while the request is sent to the database server to retrieve the packet network address of the endpoint user terminal to which calls to the telephone number should be placed.

摘要: A device and method restricting water flow from a bathroom fixture is provided herewith. A preferred embodiment of the improved flow restrictor assembly comprises a metallic fitting or housing that accommodates an interior ring assembly and a flow-restrictor disk. The fitting is substantially tubular with a top section, a bottom section and an intersection. The top section of the fitting is defined by an opening, a hollow interior and a ledge upon which the interior ring assembly and flow-restrictor disk are positioned when the flow restrictor assembly is installed and in use. The bottom section features a pair of gripping planes which can be gripped by a specialized tool for purposes of uninstalling the improved flow restrictor assembly.

摘要: A method for packet telephony includes receiving over a packet communication network (22) a first message originating from a first end-user (32A) in a first aggregating organization (28) to place a call to a second end-user (32D) in a second aggregating organization (30). Responsively to the first message, respective values are assigned to one or more security attributes that are indicative of a likelihood that the call is a spam call. A second message is transmitted over the packet communication network toward the second end-user, the second message containing at least one of the respective values that was assigned to at least one of the security attributes.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method and system for providing payments over a wireless connection. Instant messaging services—such as mobile text messaging—addressed to a command interpretation and processing system are utilized in conjunction with a checkout procedure on a mobile device to enable a user making a payment to simply define and confirm the amount of his or her payment, and the recipient. The checkout procedure can be completed with SMS, Mobile Web, Mobile App or IVR implementation. Previously Registered as well as new unregistered users are supported. The payer, through his or her mobile device, interacts with a system for managing mobile payment transactions that validates the sender and recipient of the funds, the presence of funds in a transacting account and other fraud management and authentication checks, and effects a settlement. The Sender may chose a variety of funding sources to fund the transaction, while the recipient can receive the funds on a debit or credit account, or immediately in a demand deposit account of their choice. In one embodiment of the present invention the system is used to pay for purchases of goods and services. In another embodiment of the present invention, the system is use to provide donations to charities.

摘要: The invention relates to a method and apparatus for recording and maintaining stored information system object relationship information. Information contained within a stored information system (including system catalogs, referential constraints, triggers, table hierarchies, column references, indexes, stored program packages, system catalogs, stored procedures, stored queries, log/trace files of dynamically executed code, etc.) are searched to identify dependency relationships between objects. This object relationship information is stored and maintained in an information base. Information within the information based may be organized based upon subsets of objects that support a common application, service, or capability. Object relationship data is used to facilitate stored information system administration activities such as generating/restoring from archives, physically/logically segmenting data objects, replicating data objects; optimizing the distribution of data in distributed data system; and estimating operational capacity.

摘要: A method, apparatus, and computer program product are provided for calculating an indicator of operator distraction for an equipment operator. First, distraction-correlated indicator information from devices around an operator is received. Next, a distraction level is estimated. Subsequently, an output is produced indicative of the distraction level to facilitate a threat assessment decision. Additional operations may include grouping information into complex task types comprising sets of related activities. Next, an elapsed time is determined since the start of the first activity in a complex task. The delay since the most recent activity in the complex task is compared with a minimum task quiescent period. When the delay exceeds the minimum task quiescent period, the elapsed time and the delay are reset. Also, during the performance of a complex task, the type and the elapsed time of the complex task are correlated with other information to facilitate a threat assessment decision.
