Abstract: Embodiments of films, for example, infrared absorbing, heat retaining films, comprise at least one polymer selected from: a low density polyethylene (LDPE) having a density range of 0.900 g/cc to 0.930 g/cc and a melt index (I2) of 0.3 g/10 min to 2.0 g/10 min as measured in accordance with ASTM D1238; a linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) having a density range of 0.900 g/cc to 0.930 g/cc and a melt index I2 of 0.3 g/10 min to 2.0 g/10 min; and a ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer having a vinyl acetate content ranging from 3 wt. % to 27 wt. % and a melt index I2 of 0.2 g/10 min to 10 g/10 min. The films also comprise a hybrid filler comprising (i) a layered double hydroxide, and (ii) an inorganic powder complex having a particle size distribution defined by a median diameter (D50) of 1.5 to 20 μm.

Abstract: A coated substrate which includes a) a fabric substrate layer; b) an adhesive layer which is formed from a first composition comprising a thermoplastic elastomer and an anhydride and/or carboxylic acid functionalized, chlorinated olefin-based polymer that has a chlorine content from 1 to 20 wt %, based on the total weight of the anhydride and/or carboxylic acid functionalized, chlorinated olefin-based polymer and the thermoplastic elastomer; and c) a non-polar olefin-based layer formed from a second composition comprising at least one non-polar olefin-based polymer is provided. Also provided are an adhesive composition and articles comprising the coated substrate.A coated substrate comprising the following: a) a fabric substrate layer; b) an adhesive layer which is formed from a first composition comprising a thermoplastic elastomer and an anhydride and/or carboxylic acid functionalized, chlorinated olefin-based polymer that has a chlorine content from 10 to 35 wt %, based on the total weight of the anhydride and/or carboxylic acid functionalized, chlorinated olefin-based polymer; and c) a non-polar olefin-based layer formed from a second composition comprising at least one non-polar olefin-based polymer.

Abstract: A multi-layer film comprising: a) a first layer comprising i) a polyolefin component; and ii) a polyethylene oxide/polyethylene copolymer having a Hydrophile-Lipophile Balance value in the range of from 2 to 6; b) a second layer comprising i) a polyolefin component; ii) from 1 to 5 weight percent of an additive selected from the group consisting of sorbitan esters, polyoxyethylene esters, glycerol esters, polyglycerol esters, fluorine-based compounds and combinations thereof, wherein the additive has a Hydrophile-Lipophile Balance value in the range of from 7 to 18; and iii) an inorganic filler; wherein the second layer is adjacent to the first layer and c) a skin layer comprising a polyolefin component, is disclosed. The multi-layer film is used in greenhouse applications.
