摘要: Apparatus is described for use with a burglar alarm that includes a detector configured to detect activity and to generate an activity-detection signal in response thereto. A sensor monitors a resting surface and generates a signal in response thereto. A control unit identifies a correspondence between (a) the activity-detection signal, and (b) the signal that is generated by the sensor. The control unit inhibits the burglar alarm from being triggered, in response to the correspondence. Other applications are also described.

摘要: Apparatus is provided for monitoring a female subject. During a first menstrual cycle of the subject a computer processor predicts an upcoming ovulation of the subject, generates an output, on at least one user interface device, in response to predicting the upcoming ovulation, and receives from the subject, via the user interface device, an indication of one or more sensations that are sensed by the subject during a time period that is in temporal proximity to the predicted upcoming ovulation. During a second menstrual cycle of the subject, subsequent to the first menstrual cycle, the computer processor predicts an upcoming ovulation of the subject, at least partially based upon the indication received from the subject during the first menstrual cycle, and generates, on the user interface device, an output in response to predicting the upcoming ovulation of the subject. Other applications are also described.

摘要: Apparatus for monitoring a clinical condition of a subject is described. At least one motion sensor detects motion of the subject and generates a sensed motion signal responsive to the sensed motion. A signal analyzer is adapted to determine a heartbeat-related signal from the sensed motion signal, to determine a first breathing-rate-related signal from the heartbeat-related signal, and to determine a second breathing-rate-related signal directly from the sensed motion signal. The signal analyzer determines the validity of the heartbeat-related signal by comparing the first breathing-rate-related signal with the second breathing-rate-related signal. Other applications are also described.

摘要: Apparatus for monitoring a subject is described. A sensor detects monitors the subject and generates a signal in response thereto. A control unit analyzes the signal, and in response to the analyzing, identifies a clinical parameter of the subject. The control unit received an indication of a menstrual cycle of the subject. Taking into account the subject's menstrual cycle, the control unit identifies a baseline value of the clinical parameter, compares the identified clinical parameter to the baseline value, and, in response to the comparing, the control unit (a) determines whether a clinical episode is predicted, (b) determines whether a clinical episode is currently occurring, and/or (c) monitors an occurring clinical episode. The control unit generates an output in response thereto. Other applications are also described.

The sensor unit includes a housing (90, 100), a first motion sensor (96, 106) disposed within the housing such as to generate a first sensor signal that is indicative of the motion of the vehicle, and a second motion sensor (98, 108) disposed within the housing, such as to generate a second sensor signal that is indicative of the motion of the subject and the motion of the vehicle. A computer processor at least partially distinguishes between motion of the subject and motion of the vehicle by analyzing the first and second sensor signals. Other applications are also described.

A sensor is configured to monitor the subject without contacting the subject or clothes the subject is wearing, and without viewing the subject or clothes the subject is wearing, and to generate a sensor signal in response to the monitoring. A computer processor is configured to: (a) receive the sensor signal, (b) extract from the sensor signal a plurality of heartbeats of the subject, and, for each of the extracted heartbeats, an indication of a quality of the extracted heartbeat, (c) select a subset of heartbeats, based upon the qualities of the extracted heartbeats, (d) for only the subset of heartbeats, determine interbeat intervals between adjacent heartbeats, (e) in response thereto, determine a physiological state of the subject, and (f) generate an output in response thereto. A control unit analyzes the sensor signal. In response to analyzing the sensor signal, the control unit performs an action selected from the group consisting of: identifying that the subject is currently undergoing an apnea episode, and predicting that the subject is going to undergo an apnea episode. In response thereto, the control unit changes a position of at least a portion of a body of the subject by activating a device. Other applications are also described.
