摘要: Aortic occlusion and embolic protection devices include radially expandable and collapsible proximal and distal end portions, such as annular self-expanding stents or frames, that are configured to radially expand within an aorta to secure the device within the aorta. The devices can also include a catheter extending axially between the distal end portion and the proximal end portion and a porous covering, or filter, positioned around the catheter and between the proximal end portion and the distal end portion and configured to filter emboli from blood flowing into upper-body arteries. The device can further include a one-way valve positioned at or adjacent to the distal end portion of the device and configured to restrict retrograde blood flow through the device toward the heart.

摘要: Docking stations are configured to retain and position a transcatheter heart valve in a circulatory system. The docking stations can comprise an expandable frame. The docking stations can include an enlarged first end portion having a first outer radial portion with a first major lateral dimension, an enlarged second end portion having a second outer radial portion with a second major lateral dimension, and a narrowed central waist portion having an inner radial portion with a third major lateral dimension smaller than the first and second major lateral dimensions. A retaining portion is at least partially defined by at least one of the first and second end portions, and a valve seat is at least partially defined by the waist portion. The docking station can be configured to adapt a native tricuspid valve to accept a smaller transcatheter heart valve.

In addition, disclosed herein are methods of making the implantable medical devices.

摘要: A prosthetic heart valve includes a frame that is radially collapsible and expandable between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration, and defines a longitudinal axis. A leaflet structure situated within the frame, and a sealing member is disposed around the frame. The sealing member can include a first portion extending circumferentially around a portion of the frame, the first portion being configured to resiliently stretch in a direction along the longitudinal axis between a first state corresponding to the expanded configuration of the frame and a second state corresponding to the collapsed configuration of the frame. The sealing member can include a second portion extending circumferentially around a portion of the frame, the second portion being configured to resiliently stretch in a circumferential direction between a first state corresponding to the collapsed configuration of the frame and a second state corresponding to the expanded configuration of the frame.

摘要: Expandable docking stations for docking an expandable valve can include a valve seat, one or more sealing portions, and/or one or more retaining portions. The valve seat can include radiopaque markers affixed to a frame or an impermeable member. The radiopaque markers can indicate a deployment location of the valve. The docking stations can be deployed from a catheter including one or more radiopaque markers. Relative positioning of two or more radiopaque markers can provide an indication of the amount of deployment of the docking station.

摘要: A sealing member for a prosthetic heart valve includes an annular fabric body having a first circumferential portion and a second circumferential portion. The first circumferential portion extends circumferentially around the annular fabric body and is resiliently stretchable in a direction along the longitudinal axis of the annular fabric body between an expanded configuration of the prosthetic heart valve and a collapsed configuration of the prosthetic heart valve. The second circumferential portion extends around the annular fabric body and is circumferentially offset from the first circumferential portion, the second circumferential portion being resiliently stretchable in a circumferential direction between the collapsed configuration of the prosthetic heart valve and the expanded configuration of the prosthetic heart valve.

Each commissure further includes a second commissure tab of a second leaflet of the plurality of leaflets arranged adjacent to an opposite, second side of the protruding portion and secured directly to the attachment member.
