摘要: A linear friction welding system includes a power shaft defining a power shaft axis and including a first eccentric portion and a first power transfer portion, a power transfer rod engaged with the first power transfer portion, an actuator assembly operably coupled with the power transfer rod and configured to move the power transfer rod axially along the power shaft axis, a crank including a second eccentric portion operably coupled with the first eccentric portion, and a second power transfer portion engaged with the power transfer rod, the linear friction welding system configured such that axial movement of the power transfer rod causes rotational movement of the crank with respect to the power shaft about the power shaft axis, a cam follower operably connected to an outer surface of the second eccentric portion, and a ram operably connected to the cam follower and configured to vibrate along a welding axis.

The first material has a first index of refraction and the second material has a second index of refraction less than the first index of refraction. In one embodiment, the second material includes a polydiorganosiloxane polyamide block copolymer. 摘要: In one embodiment, the invention provides a polyethylene terephthalate film comprising a biaxially oriented and birefringent film polyethylene terephthalate film having at least one layer having a thickness of from 10 mils (0.25 mm) to 25 mils (0.64 mm), wherein the film is formed from a polyethylene terephthalate resin comprising the reaction product of dimethyl terephthalate, terephthalic acid, or a combination thereof ethylene glycol, a diol or triol monomer other than ethylene glycol and from 0.9 to 3 mol percent of a sulfonate monomer having an inorganic counterion based on 100 mol percent dimethyl terephthalate, terephthalic acid, or a combination thereof.

摘要: An article that is suitable for use as a solar concentrating mirror for enhancing the use of solar collection devices, such as solar cells. The article includes a multilayer optical film and a compliant UV protective layer. The article addresses degradation issues in solar concentration devices, provides specific bandwidths of electromagnetic energy to the solar cell while eliminating or reducing undesirable bandwidths of electromagnetic energy that may degrade or adversely affect the solar cell, and renders a compliant sheet of material that may be readily formed into a multitude of shapes or constructions for end use applications.
