    摘要: Disclosed herein is a manufacturing method, excellent in wire drawability, of a seamed flux-cored welding wire having both favorable feedability and low hydrogen content characteristic. The method for manufacturing a seamed flux-cored wire, comprises the steps of: drawing a tube-like formed wire including a flux filled therein using a lubricant; removing the lubricant from the drawn wire by a physical means; and coating a lubricant (coating an oil) for wire feeding on the wire surface. The respective steps are carried out in an in-line manner. In the wire drawing step, a wire drawing lubricant containing a sulfur-bearing high-pressure lubricant is used, and the overall wire drawing from the tube-like formed wire to a roughly product-diameter wire is carried out by means of a roller die.

    摘要: A welding wire of the type consists of a plated or uncovered solid wire and a flux-cored wire for carbon steel or stainless steel, wherein one or more of hydrocarbon compounds selected from the group consisting of saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon compounds, which have from 5 to 12 carbon atoms and a linear or branched structure, and hydrocarbon compounds having a cyclic structure are deposited on a wire surface. A lubricating oil and/or lubricating particles are chemically combined with a wire surface through the one or more hydrocarbon compounds. The total amount of the hydrocarbon compounds, and a lubricating oil and/or lubricating particles deposited on the wire surface is in the range of 0.1 to 5 g per 10 kg of the wire.

    摘要: A welding wire capable of improving wettability between weld metal and wire surface, thereby providing excellent drawability and weldability in resistance welding of wires is provided. A wire is dipped in an aqueous solution of a sulfide of alkali metal or ammonium sulfide to generate iron sulfide (FeS.sub.2 or FeS) on the surface, whereby the wettability of weld metal to wire surface is improved in the resistance welding of the resulting wires. The S in the iron sulfide is preferably present in an amount of 0.1-20 atomic % as measured by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. At least one sulfide of S with an element of Mn, Ti, Cu, Cr, Ni, Al or Zn can be used instead of or in addition to the iron sulfide.

    摘要: Disclosed is a flux cored wire for low alloy steels and high alloy steels which is excellent in arc stability and moisture absorption resistance of fume/slag. In this flux-cored wire, the flux components and the flux ratio are specified within the following ranges: namely, Na compound (Na.sub.2 O equivalent amount)+K compound (K.sub.2 O equivalent amount) (flux wt %): 1.5-6.0%; soluble Na compound (Na.sub.2 O equivalent amount) (flux wt %): 1.5% or less; soluble K compound (K.sub.2 O equivalent amount) (flux wt %): 0.8% or less; SiO.sub.2 (flux wt %): 5-30%; TiO.sub.2 +ZrO.sub.2 +Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 (flux wt %): 5-40%; flux ratio (wire wt %): 10-30%. Further, the flux components satisfy the formula of {soluble Na compound (Na.sub.2 O equivalent amount)+0.1.times.soluble K compound (K.sub.2 O equivalent amount)}/{SiO.sub.2 +0.5.times.(TiO.sub.2 +ZrO.sub.2 +Al.sub.2 O.sub.3)}: 40.times.10.sup.-3 or less. Moreover, a solid wire for arc welding wherein the specific surface area {(Sa/Sm)-1} is in the range of from 0.0005 to 0.05; and molybdenum disulfide is stuck on the surface of the wire in an amount of from 0.001 to 0.5 g/m.sup.2, and no plating is applied on the surface of the wire.
