摘要： The present invention discloses an improved insert machine for inserting flat material into an open pocket and, more particularly, to a straight line insert machine employed for printed matter such as newspapers. The machine includes an all-electronic control system for controlling machine functions. The control system includes at least one central control computer running under software control and a plurality of network controllers, all coupled together via a controller area network (CAN) bus. Electronic control messages for controlling machine elements are sent among the computers and controllers using a novel message protocol to enable both broadcast messages and individual messages to be employed.

摘要： The present invention relates to a mailbox. The mailbox includes an extended downward sloping chute into and through which mail and packages destined for the mailbox's owner can be deposited. The length and orientation of the downward sloping chute makes it difficult if not impossible for the mailbox contents to be accessed and removed through the downward sloping chute. A locked door in the main portion of the box is provided to allow controlled and authorized access to the box's contents.

摘要： A non-planar transistor including partially melted raised semiconductor source/drains disposed on opposite ends of a semiconductor fin with the gate stack disposed there between. The raised semiconductor source/drains comprise a super-activated dopant region above a melt depth and an activated dopant region below the melt depth. The super-activated dopant region has a higher activated dopant concentration than the activated dopant region and/or has an activated dopant concentration that is constant throughout the melt region. A fin is formed on a substrate and a semiconductor material or a semiconductor material stack is deposited on regions of the fin disposed on opposite sides of a channel region to form raised source/drains. A pulsed laser anneal is performed to melt only a portion of the deposited semiconductor material above a melt depth.

摘要： Systems and methods for safety data writes for process control networks are disclosed. The system may load changed parameters into a function block implemented by a process control server. The loaded changed parameters may be verified as being within safe limits and correctly entered. The verified changed parameters may be loaded into the field device controllers and the system restarted using the loaded changed parameters. The system may load parameters with an online system and use the loaded changed parameters during a warm restart.

摘要： In a method of producing isotopes in a light water power reactor, one or more targets within the reactor may be irradiated under a neutron flux to produce one or more isotopes. The targets may be assembled into one or more fuel bundles that are to be loaded in a core of the reactor at a given outage. Power operations in the reactor irradiate the fuel bundles so as to generate desired isotopes, such as one or more radioisotopes at a desired specific activity or stable isotopes at a desired concentration.

摘要： Improved processing of an oxygenate-containing feedstock for increased production or yield of light olefins. Such processing involves oxygenate conversion to olefins and subsequent cracking of heavier olefins wherein at least a portion of the products from each of the reactors is elevated in pressure, using a common compressor, prior to being routed to a common product fractionation and recovery section. In one particular embodiment, the cracked product gas can be treated to remove acid gas therefrom. In another embodiment, the olefin cracking reactor is a moving bed reactor.

摘要： The use of transalkylation catalysts to react heavy aromatic compounds of carbon number nine (and heavier carbon numbers) with benzene to form carbon number eight aromatics is disclosed. The catalyst system preserves ethyl-group species on the heavier aromatics that are otherwise de-ethylated over most gas-phase transalkylation catalysts to form undesired ethane gas with benzene or toluene. The catalyst system also promotes methyl-group species transalkylation at selected conditions. Thus, by using the transalkylation system, a greater yield of para-xylene or other carbon number eight aromatics may be achieved overall within an integrated aromatics complex.

摘要： The invention provides a flame failure device in which the reservoir exposed to the flame is charged with air and is communicated via a capillary tube to displace a membrane and hold the main valve in an open position, and the valve is closed by a spring when pressure falls as a result of the flame being extinguished. The system is re-charged via a one-way valve when pressure in the system falls below ambient pressure.
