摘要: A vehicle, hitch, and articulating trailer include vehicle to vehicle and infrastructure communications and vehicle computing systems, which have a controller coupled to and/or including one or more of a dynamics measurement unit, a transceiver, and a position sensor, among other components. The controller(s) are configured to, in response to detecting positions of trailer corners from the position sensor, generate vehicle and trailer relative orientation and navigation data including location, velocity, and orientation, utilizing vehicle and trailer electronic polyhedrons articulating about a hitch point and representing the combination vehicle and trailer predicted path and envelopes. In response to detected trailer movement relative to the hitch point, the generated articulated polyhedrons are generated with the navigation data, which includes the location, speed, and orientation, which are in turn communicated to nearby vehicles and roadway infrastructure. Initial trailer vertices may be generated with wireless and mobile devices to generate the trailer polyhedron.

摘要: A sequence of connected messages is transmitted using Semi-Persistent Scheduling (SPS) of a predefined period. A random value for a 1-shot duration timer is set, the random value being chosen as being between a minimum and a maximum multiple of the predefined period. Responsive to expiration of the 1-shot duration timer, 1-shot resources are allocated for a 1-shot transmission, independent of SPS-allocated resources of the SPS, and a next packet of the sequence of connected messages is transmitted as a 1-shot message using the 1-shot resources instead of using the SPS-allocated resources of the SPS.

Signals are monitored that are received from a first antenna configured to send and/or receive first messages over a first message protocol. Using the signals, time slot information is updated that is indicative of which equally-sized consecutive future time slots the first antenna is predicted to transmit and/or receive the first messages. A transmission is scheduled of a second message over a second antenna configured to send and/or receive second messages over a second message protocol using the time slot information to avoid out-of-band emission (OOBE) interference.

摘要: In an opportunistic packet retransmission strategy, responsive to determining that a retransmission mode is set, a retransmission probability is calculated using minimum and maximum channel busy level retransmission thresholds, such that if a channel busy level of a communication channel is less than a minimum channel busy level retransmission threshold then a retransmission probability is set to 100%, if the channel busy level is greater than the maximum channel busy level then the retransmission probability is set to 0%, and within the minimum and maximum channel busy level retransmission thresholds the retransmission probability is set to decrease from 100% to 0% as a channel busy level of the communication channel rises from the minimum channel busy level retransmission threshold to the maximum channel busy level retransmission threshold. The message is retransmitted responsive to randomly determining whether to retransmit according to the retransmission probability.
