    摘要: In an internal combustion engine provided with a rotary intake control valve, preferable position convergence at the end of inertia supercharging is ensured while avoiding an influence on combustion performance. In an engine provided with an impulse valve, if the implementation of the inertia supercharging is stopped and a request to maintain the impulse valve at a fully-opened position is made, an ECU stops the supply of a braking force to the impulse valve until the rotational phase of the impulse valve enters dead band, and the ECU performs a BRK mode for stopping the impulse valve under the condition that the rotational phase enters the dead band and that the impulse valve is in a deceleration state. At this time, electrification or power distribution for acceleration of the impulse valve during stop control of the impulse valve is forbidden. Moreover, the converging position of the impulse valve by the BRK mode is allowed to deviate in a range with an allowable width set in advance with respect to a target.

    摘要: A pressure accumulation system for an internal combustion engine can prevent exhaust pressure from excessively increasing when pressurized gas is contained in a pressure accumulation container. A pressure accumulation system is applied for an internal combustion engine provided with an exhaust shut-off valve mounted in an exhaust path. The pressure accumulation system has a pressure accumulation tank into which gas can be introduced from that portion of an exhaust path.     摘要: A control method with variable feedback gain for energization of an electro-magnetically driven intake/exhaust valve of an internal combustion engine increases opening and closing speeds of the intake/exhaust valve driven with electromagnets having small capacity and brings the final speed of the opening and closing action of the valve close to zero. A target moving speed of the armature relative to the electromagnets is determined dependent upon a spacing distance of the armature from the electromagnet; at least a part of energization of the electro-magnetically driven valve is controlled through feedforward control so as to make an actual moving speed of the armature relative to the electromagnets in conformity with the target moving speed while at least the other part of the energization is controlled through feedback control based upon a deviation of the actual moving speed from the target moving speed.

Thus, the solenoid valve can positively actuate an engine valve between a fully closed position and a fully opened position without formation of a clearance between the engine valve and the armature. A current supplied to the electromagnet may be set in accordance with a value which is related to a relative position of the armature and the electromagnet.
