Abstract: A system for monitoring medical conditions includes a conformable medical monitoring device that includes a first substrate layer, which includes an electronics module, many signal traces, and at least one electrode, such that one or more of the many signal traces electrically couple the at least one electrode to the electronics module. The conformable medical monitoring device includes a second substrate layer positioned over the electronics module, the first substrate layer, or any combination thereof to insulate the electronics module, the first substrate layer, or any combination thereof. Abstract: A method includes applying a plurality of currents to a plurality of electrodes disposed on a surface surrounding an anatomical region in a subject. Further, the method includes measuring a plurality of voltages generated in response to the plurality of currents. The method also includes selecting a coarse-scale basis corresponding to a response function associated with the plurality of electrodes. Moreover, the method includes determining simultaneously an internal admittivity corresponding to the anatomical region and a contact impedance corresponding to the plurality of electrodes based on the plurality of voltages and the coarse-scale basis. The method also includes reconstructing the diagnostic image based on the internal admittivity.

Abstract: An electrical channel having inbuilt current limiting is provided. The electrical channel includes an electrode current source. The electrode current source includes a voltage-to-current converter, a negative impedance converter, and at least one passive current limiting component. Further, the voltage-to-current converter is configured to receive an input voltage and output a corresponding output current. Moreover, the negative impedance converter is operatively coupled to the voltage-to-current converter, where the negative impedance converter is configured to cancel an output impedance of the voltage-to-current converter, a parasitic impedance, or both. Also, the passive current limiting component is configured to limit the output current to a load below a threshold value.

In other aspects, a probe positioning structure is fabricated that is specific to a respective patient anatomy, such that use of the probe positioning structure provides repeatable targeting of the target anatomic region, even when in non-clinical settings.
