    Abstract: A graphics projector for use in a vehicle includes a light source module. The light source module may include an LED array configured to produce a source light. The light source module further includes an optical filter in optical communication with the led array. The optical filter is configured to receive the source light and transmit a filtered light. The light source module further includes a focusing lens in optical communication with the optical filter. The focusing lens is configured to receive the filtered light and transmit a narrow-beam light. The graphics projector also includes an optical collimator in optical communication with the light source module. The optical collimator is configured to receive the narrow-beam light and transmit a collimated light. The graphics projector also includes an optoelectrical mirror in optical communication with the optical collimator. The optoelectrical mirror is configured to direct the collimated light to form a graphic.

    Abstract: A system for generating a centrally located floating three-dimensional image display for a plurality of passengers positioned within a vehicle includes a plurality of autostereoscopic three-dimensional displays, one autostereoscopic three-dimensional display individually associated with each one of the plurality of passengers, and a controller in communication with each of the plurality of autostereoscopic three-dimensional displays and adapted to cause each one of the plurality of autostereoscopic three-dimensional displays to display a three-dimensional image to the associated one of the plurality of passengers, wherein, each of the plurality of passengers perceives the three-dimensional image floating at a central location within the vehicle.

    Abstract: An optical arrangement includes at least one pair of displays, each pair having a first display and a second display configured to generate light in a visible spectral range. For each pair of displays, the optical arrangement includes a first polarizer configured to polarize the light incident from the first display, a second polarizer configured to polarize the light incident from the second display. The optical arrangement also includes first and second polarizing beam splitters for each pair of displays. Each polarizing beam splitter is configured to receive the polarized light from the first and second polarizers. Each polarizing beam splitter is also configured to reflect one of an s-polarized component and a p-polarized component of the received polarized light into at least one field of view (FOV) and transmit the other of the s-polarized component and the p-polarized component of the received polarized light into the subject FOV(s).
