Abstract: The embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a small data transmission method and a related device and system. The method may include: broadcasting, by a base station, a paging message, where the paging message carries UE identifiers of a plurality of to-be-paged user equipment UE and small data sent to at least one of the to-be-paged UEs, and the small data is data whose data volume is less than a preset data volume threshold. In the present disclosure, small data may be sent to to-be-paged UE while the base station pages the UE, to reduce signaling and time overheads for sending the small data and improving communication efficiency.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to a terminal device, a network device, a method of cell selection, and a wireless communications system. In the method of cell selection, a terminal device sends cell information of at least one cell in a first wireless communications system to a second network device in a second wireless communications system, so that the second network device can select a target cell in the first wireless communications system, and the terminal device accesses the target cell selected by the second network device, and accesses a core network in the first wireless communications system by using a first network device to which the target cell belongs. The terminal device provides the cell information, and the second network device selects the target cell. This implements cell selection in the future evolved first wireless communications system.

Abstract: The present application discloses a wireless local area network access point search method, an apparatus, and a system, relates to the field of communications technologies, and can reduce power consumption for passive scanning. According to the method, beacon sending information of a wireless local area network access point and measurement information of a user equipment are matched, so that the user equipment can search for the wireless local area network access point only at the time when and a frequency channel number at which the wireless local area network access point sends a beacon. Compared with the prior art in which a user equipment needs to continuously keep a state of searching for a wireless local area network access point, the present application greatly shortens time spent by the user equipment in listening to a beacon, and therefore reduces power consumption of passive scanning.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the field of mobile communications technologies, and in particular, to an offloading method and an apparatus. In this solution, when a terminal is in a handover process, a destination cellular network node sends, to the terminal, configuration information of a WLAN AP managed by the destination cellular network node; and then the terminal selects a destination WLAN AP from WLAN APs managed by the destination cellular network node, and offloads data of the destination cellular network node to the destination WLAN AP. Therefore, the destination WLAN AP selected by the destination cellular network node can be received before a handover is completed, thereby ensuring service continuity and improving service quality of a terminal.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and an apparatus for transmitting pattern information. The method for transmitting pattern information includes obtaining pattern information; and sending the pattern information to UE. The first pattern information indicates that the spectrum of the first cell is allocated to the first RAT in a first plurality of sub-frames, and that the spectrum of the first cell is allocated to the second RAT in a second plurality of sub-frames. The first pattern information enables the UE to select any sub-frame in the first plurality of sub-frames to measure a CRS if the UE RAT pattern corresponds to the first RAT, or enables the UE to select any sub-frame in the second plurality of sub-frames to measure the CRS if the UE RAT pattern corresponds to the second RAT. The embodiments of the present invention improve scheduling accuracy and efficiency.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a wireless local area network discovery method, a device, and a system. The method specifically includes: acquiring an access point (AP) identifier of an AP of a wireless local area network and a first measurement result that is obtained by a first user equipment UE, where the AP identifier is associated with the first measurement result; acquiring a second measurement result that is obtained by a second UE; and determining, according to the second measurement result and the first measurement result, whether the second UE is located within coverage of the AP. By using the technical solutions in embodiments of the present invention, it may be determined that the second UE is located within the coverage of the AP, and the AP is accurately accessed when it is necessary.
