摘要: A method and device are disclosed for determining and checking a state or condition of a hydraulic fluid contained in a brake system, including a state of hydration and/or age such that the fluid boiling point is reduced. The boiling point or a characteristic value of the fluid which depends on the boiling point, on the one hand, and the instantaneous temperature value of the fluid, on the other hand, are measured by means of sensor elements. These two values represent a range of permissible comparative temperature values, including a thermal reserve which is within that same range and is determined for further permissible heating of the fluid. A warning signal is released when a predetermined minimum value of the thermal reserve is reached. The sensor elements have hollow spaces with open walls permitting fluid flow-through and have such a design as to ensure that, after heating-up, there comes about a stable cellular convection in a temperature range lying below the boiling temperature. The cellular convection is used as an indication of the condition or the state of the fluid.

摘要: A brake unit for automotive vehicles with electric drive is configured in the shape of a multiple-circuit compound system consisting of hydraulic friction brakes of brake circuits (I, I', I", III, III', III") and of an electroregenerative brake system (circuit II, II', II"). In a vehicle with a driven and a non-driven axle, three brake circuits exist, one brake circuit of which (I, I', I") is comprised of a pedal-actuated hydraulic brake pressure master unit (2) and of friction brakes (3, 4) acting upon the non-driven wheels. The second brake circuit (II, II', II") which represents an electroregenerative brake system is directly or indirectly coupled to the brake pedal and acts upon the driven wheels. The third brake circuit (III, III', III") which is comprised of friction brakes (10, 11) also acts upon the driven wheels. The actuation of the wheel brakes (10, 11) is connected to the second and third brake circuits. The distribution of the brake power to the front axle (VA) and to the rear axle (HA) is controlled with the aid of an electronic controller (7, 7',7").

摘要: An apparatus for determining the boiling temperature of a brake fluid to in turn determine the water content therein includes an electrically heatable sensor element (13) immersed into the fluid under test, a power source (12) supplying a current of a constant amplitude, and a measuring system (15) for measuring the voltage drop on the sensor element (13). A stable cellular convection heat transfer mechanism into the surrounding fluid arises, with the voltage drop across the sensor element (13) being indicative of the boiling point of the fluid. The sensor element is in the form of a linear conductor (13', 20, 21) clamped on either end. The sensor element also may comprise a plurality of linear conductors (13', 20, 21) of this type connected in parallel or in series.

摘要: Disclosed is an arrangement for detecting rotational speed of a wheel or any other rotating body by a sensor (1, 6), which is coupled via a magnetic field to an encoder (23) that rotates with the rotating body. If a slot between sensor element (S1, S2) and encoder (23) becomes too small in the prior art arrangements, flipping and, hence, doubling of the measured rotational speed of the wheel can occur. This caused problems in safety devices of a vehicle, which require a correct indication of the wheel rotational speed for proper operation. To improve the tolerance with respect to the mounting position of the known arrangements, two separated signal paths (S1, f1; S2, f2) are provided with sensor elements (S1, S2) of differing sensitivity. The signal paths (S1, f1; S2, f2) are designed so that a signal path (S1, f1) is always available, which is provided with a maximum rate of sensitivity so that, in the undisturbed normal case, minimum image defects of the encoder track (13) are achieved, simultaneously with maximum air slots, while at the same time there is always an observing signal path (S2, f2), whose sensitivity is rated in such a way that flipping is safely prevented in all magnetic conditions.

摘要: The pressure in a motor vehicle tire can be determined by means of a ‘wheel-independent’ device (1) that is in a largely rigid manner connected mechanically to an element (2) of the vehicle body (3, 14) oscillating with the motor vehicle wheel (4). In order to determine the—preferably absolute—tire pressure by combining the evaluation of rotational speed data and axle frequency analysis, said device (1) includes a signal pre-processing element (6) provided with electronic components for processing the sensor signals, said element being connected to a magnetic sensor element (7) and an acceleration sensor element (8) or to a combined magnetic/acceleration sensor element (5) by means of an electrically conductive element connection (9), wherein the magnetic sensor element (7) or the magnetic/acceleration sensor element (5) is operatively connected to a magnetic encoder (16) arranged on the wheel side. To improve determination of characteristic quantities, preferably the vibration behavior of at least two wheels (4) is analyzed.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method for checking or determining the installation air slot between an active sensor and an encoder, wherein the maximum size of the air slot (maximum air slot) which still ensures trouble-free operation of the sensor depends on the level of the supply voltage of the sensor at least within a range of said supply voltage, and which is more particularly characterized by the following method steps: reducing the supply voltage of the sensor to at least one value by which the maximum air slot is each time decreased by a desired test measure, and comparing the at least one test measure with a desired difference between the maximum air slot and the existing air slot by sensing a variation of the sensor output signal by the reduction of the supply voltage, as well as evaluating the comparison result by signaling and/or storing. A corresponding device is also described.

摘要: An arrangement for sensing the rotational speeds of a wheel or any other rotating member includes a sensor module with a sensor element, a controllable current source with a modulator and a signal conditioning and evaluating circuit. The modulator controls the current source in response to the signals of the sensor element and/or external signals and, as an output signal of the sensor module, delivers a current signal representative of the rotational behavior with status or additional signals superposed on the current signal. The evaluating circuit of the sensor module includes at least two different signal-conditioning networks which, by way of a control network, in dependence on predetermined criteria or conditions, are connected between the sensor element and the modulator controlling the current source and take care of signal conditioning. The shift from one signal-conditioning network to another occurs in response to control signals which the control network derives automatically from the control of one of these networks, or in response to control signals which are sent to the control network by a signal-receiving external circuit outside the sensor module via the same signal line.
