摘要: A reverse drive for small vehicles in which an output shaft of a second motor, which is different from the internal combustion engine for running use, can be connected to the transmission line leading from the internal combustion engine to the rear wheel so as to rotate the rear wheel in reverse. The second motor is a starter motor capable of normal and reverse rotations, the normal rotation of the starter motor being transmitted to the internal combustion engine for driving use through a starting clutch, and the reverse rotation of said starter motor being transmitted to the power transmission line through a reverse clutch. Otherwise, the second motor may be a starter motor capable of rotating only in one direction. In this case, the output of the starter motor is transmitted to the output side of the power transmission line through a reverse transmission line while the output transmission line is interrupted.

摘要: An auto cruise control method and device for a vehicle such as a motorcycle allows the vehicle to operate at a constant set speed while avoiding acceleration or deceleration shock after the auto cruise device is temporarily or permanently operated to change the vehicle speed. Therefore, a smoother ride is provided. Also, a final acceleration change rate can be corrected by considerating factors such as slope, wind, load weight, variation in engine output and non-linearity of engine torque characteristics. Moreover, when the speed is to be changed or when operation of the auto cruise device is to be resumed, the speed of the vehicle can be smoothly shifted.

摘要: A required fuel amount for an engine is calculated at a predetermined calculation cycle. A fuel injection amount to be injected from an upstream injection valve and a fuel injection amount to be injected from a downstream injection valve are then calculated. After fuel injection on the basis of the calculated fuel injection amounts, a lack of fuel delivered by the fuel injection amounts immediately before re-calculation of a required fuel amount at the calculation cycle until the end of an intake stroke (end of an intake valve opening period), is calculated by subtracting the fuel injection amounts from the re-calculated required fuel amount. The calculated lack of fuel amount is injected from the downstream injection valve during the intake stroke, e.g., in stages 6 and 7. A portion of a fuel injected from each of the fuel injection valves which has adhered on an inner wall of an intake pipe and subsequently released to be later supplied to the engine, is calculated in accordance with a predetermined adhesion ratio and a predetermined release ratio. The above lack of fuel amount is determined in consideration of the calculated portion of the fuel. The lack of fuel amount is additionally injected, e.g. a fuel correction amount, even during an engine transient state, and engine operability and fuel consumption are improved.

摘要: A control unit is provided for increasing the number of engine revolutions per minute to a predetermined number of revolutions per minute when the throttle is closed and when the engine has been rotated for more than a prescribed time period at more than a prescribed number of revolutions per minute, and the throttle has been opened for more than a prescribed time period at more than a prescribed opening. The control unit increases the number of engine revolutions per minute to a predetermined number of revolutions per minute irrespective of the throttle and maintains the same for a predetermined retention time when the steering handle is turned to the left or the right by more than a prescribed angle. The time to start controlling the number of engine revolutions per minute may be delayed by providing a delay time for delaying the time to start controlling the engine revolutions. The number of engine revolutions per minute may be controlled after the hull is underwater. As a consequence, the amount of sideslip of the jet propulsion boat can be improved. In addition, since the control unit for increasing the number of engine revolutions per minute to a predetermined number of revolutions per minute irrespective of the throttle and maintaining the same for a predetermined retention time is provided, the quantity of jet water stream is secured. As a result, the steering of the jet propulsion boat is improved.

摘要: An engine speed calculating apparatus capable of calculating an engine speed without being affected by pulsating revolutions in a low engine speed range. A time required for a crankshaft of an engine to revolve through a predetermined angle is measured upon each completion of revolution through the predetermined angle, and an engine speed is calculated on the basis of measured result data of the time required for revolution through the predetermined angle. When the preceding calculated engine speed is determined to be lower than a predetermined engine speed, an engine speed is calculated on the basis of a time required for the crankshaft to revolve through an angle larger than the predetermined angle.

摘要: An oxygen concentration sensor trouble discriminating apparatus in which a counter executes a counting operation every time a lean state of an air-fuel ratio is detected on the basis of an output signal of an oxygen concentration sensor for the first time after a feedback control operating state was not detected. In the case where the air-fuel ratio feedback control operating state is detected, if the output signal of the oxygen concentration sensor indicates an inversion of the rich and lean states of the air-fuel ratio, a count value of the counter is reset to an initial value. When the count value is larger than a predetermined value, the oxygen concentration sensor is decided to be in trouble.
