A movement of the actuating element is transmitted to the adjusting element via a transmitting unit. A good operator control is achieved when at least one transmitting characteristic (49, 50; 89, 90; 309, 310) of the transmitting unit runs nonlinearly as a function of the actuating displacement (s) of the actuating element.

    摘要: A method for operating an internal combustion engine having a fuel system which feeds fuel at a given pressure to a metering valve provides that a controller defines the opening time and the closing time of the metering valve and correspondingly actuates the metering valve so that the metering valve opens and closes at the defined times. In order to permit precise metering of fuel even in high-speed internal combustion engines there is provision for the controller to define at least one of the times for the opening or closing of the metering valve while taking into account the counterpressure actually prevailing at the outlet opening of the metering valve.

    摘要: A portable spray apparatus (1) is provided to selectively discharge liquid spray medium and solid dust medium with a blower airflow (7) generated by a blower (6). An adaptor (8) is provided which has at least a channel section (9) of a liquids channel (10) for the liquid spray medium and a channel section (11) of a solids channel (12) for the solid dust medium. The adaptor (8) is releasably connected to a supply vessel (4). The liquids channel (10) and the solids channel (12) open into the blower airflow (7). Various built-in positions of the supply vessel (4) and of the adaptor (8) are freely selectable relative to each other and to the blower unit (3) by the operator. In one built-in position, the liquids channel (10) is connected via its channel section (9) to an interior space (13) of the supply vessel (4) and, in another built-in position, the solids channel (12) is connected to this interior space (13) via the channel section (11) thereof.

    摘要: An ignition circuit is for an internal combustion engine in a handheld portable work apparatus. A combustion chamber (4) is configured in the cylinder (3) of the engine (1) which is delimited by a piston (5) driving a crankshaft (7). An electromagnetic induction loop (13) and a pole wheel (10) are provided. The pole wheel (10) revolves with the crankshaft (7) and is assigned to the induction loop (13). The pole wheel (10) periodically changes the magnetic flux in the induction loop (13). An ignition capacitor (16) is charged by a charge coil (14) of the induction loop (13) and is discharged via a discharge circuit (15) via an ignition coil (17). The ignition coil (17) is connected to a spark plug (19) projecting into the combustion chamber (4). For achieving a powerful ignition spark, the discharge of the ignition capacitor (16) is prevented by an rpm evaluation circuit (23) when the rpm curve (30) exhibits an rpm change (Δn) which exceeds a pregiven threshold value.

    摘要: A portable handheld lawn edger includes a cutterhead (2) at the end (16) of a guide tube (4) as well as an internal combustion engine (3) at the other end (17). The engine is connected to the cutter blade (5) via a drive shaft (20) in the guide tube (4) and in the cutterhead (2). The cutter blade is mounted for rotation about an axis (6), which lies parallel to the ground during cutting operation, and is guided along the edge. A guide wheel (27) is provided on the end of the cutterhead (2) facing toward the engine (3). The cutterhead (2) can be rolled over the ground with the aid of the guide wheel (27). The service life of the edge cutter (1) is increased and the manufacturing costs are reduced in that the cutterhead (2) is provided with a spacer (7, 9) approximately at the elevation of the drive axis (6) of the cutter blade (5). The spacer (7, 9) projects from the cutterhead and is set on the ground and prevents abrasion of the cutterhead (2).

    摘要: An internal combustion engine, for example a two-stroke engine having scavenging collection, is provided. The combustion chamber formed in the cylinder is delimited by a reciprocating piston. A fuel/air mixture prepared in the Venturi section of a diaphragm carburetor is supplied to the engine. The air portion of the mixture is conveyed to the Venturi section via an intake channel, and the fuel portion is conveyed to the Venturi section via a main nozzle path that branches off from a fuel-filled control chamber to which fuel is supplied via a fuel line and a feed valve that is controlled by a control diaphragm that delimits the control chamber. A device is provided for varying the air portion and/or the fuel portion at full load. Connected to the device is a control unit that receives, as an input variable, an operating parameter of the engine that varies as a function of engine speed. The device is actuated as a function of the output signal of the control unit.

    摘要: The invention relates to an internal combustion engine and especially to a drive motor in a portable handheld work apparatus such as a motor-driven chain saw, cutoff machine or the like. The engine is formed from a cylinder (7) with a combustion chamber (34) which is delimited by the reciprocating piston (35). The piston (35) drives a crankshaft (38) which is rotatably journalled in a crankshaft housing (37) via a connecting rod (36). In the combustion chamber (34) an outlet (29) is provided through which the oxygen-rich exhaust gases (16) and oxygen-poor exhaust gases (18) flow out. Transfer channels (40) are configured in the cylinder (7) for supplying an air/fuel mixture prepared by a mixture preparation device (39) and gas-feeding channels (41) are configured for supplying fuel-poor, oxygen-rich gases in the combustion chamber (34). An exhaust-gas muffler (2) is assigned to the outlet (29) according to the invention to obtain an exhaust-gas quality which remains the same. A structure (15) is provided in the exhaust-gas muffler (2) for the temporary storage of the oxygen-rich exhaust gases (16).

    摘要: The invention relates to a two-stroke engine in a portable handheld work apparatus. A combustion chamber (3) is formed in a cylinder (2) and the chamber is delimited by a piston (5). At least one transfer channel (14) is provided which connects the crankcase (4) to the combustion chamber (3). An air channel (22) opens into the transfer channel (14) and this channel supplies essentially fuel-free gas, preferably air. The intake channel (28) of a carburetor (8) is connected to an intake opening (45) in the housing base (41) of the air filter housing (43) upstream of a carburetor throttle flap. The intake channel (28) connects downstream of the carburetor throttle flap to an intake channel (9) to the crankcase (4). To provide an ignition-ready mixture in order to start and run up the engine, it is provided that the air channel (22) is connected to a bypass opening (25) in the housing base (41) of the air filter (42) and a common pivotable choke element (24) is assigned to the intake opening (45) as well as the bypass opening (25). The choke element (24) clears the openings (25, 45) in the operating position and closes the passthrough cross section of the bypass opening (25) in the start position whereas the passthrough cross section of the intake opening (45) is reduced to a start cross section.
