    摘要: The invention provides a process for making acetic anhydride, wherein methyl acetate and/or dimethylether is (are) reacted with carbon monoxide under substantially anhydrous conditions, at temperatures of 350 to 575 K and under pressures of 1 to 300 bars in the presence of a catalyst system comprised of noble metals belonging to group VIII of the periodic system of the elements, or their compounds and iodine and/or its compounds. More specifically, an aliphatic carboxylic acid with 1 to 8 carbon atoms and at least one heterocyclic aromatic compound, in which at least one hetero atom is a quaternary nitrogen atom are used as promoters.

    摘要: The invention relates to an improved process for making 1,1-diacetoxyethane by reacting methyl acetate and/or dimethylether with carbon monoxide and hydrogen under practically anhydrous conditions, at temperatures of 350.degree. to 575.degree.     摘要: The disclosure relates to a process for separating the catalyst system from reaction mixtures which are obtained by reacting methyl acetate and/or dimethylether with carbon monoxide and optionally hydrogen at elevated temperatures to acetic anhydride and optionally ethylidene diacetate in the presence of a catalyst system consisting of carbonyl complexes of noble metals belonging to group VIII of the Periodic System, acetic acid, an organophosphorus or organonitrogen compound, methyl iodide and optionally compounds of carbonyl-yielding common metals, and which issue from the reaction zone under a pressure of 25 to 150 bars at a temperature of 100.degree. to 250.degree. C. More particularly, the reaction mixture coming from the reaction zone is introduced into a separator heated to 60.degree. to 140.degree. C. and released to a pressure of 0.5 to 3.5 bars with spontaneous evaporation of the bulk of volatile constituents; the stream of liquid matter coming from the separator is delivered to a distilling zone and the bulk of still volatile constituents is distilled off therein under a pressure of 0.05 to 1 bar at a base temperature of 70.degree. to 170.degree. C.; and catalyst solution retained as base product is recycled to the reaction zone.

    摘要: The invention relates to the production of anhydrous alkyl iodides. To this end, carboxylic acid alkyl esters of the formula R.sup.1 COOR.sup.2, in which R.sup.1 stands for hydrogen or an alkyl or aryl radical having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms and R.sup.2 stands for an alkyl group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, are reacted with iodine and hydrogen and optionally with carbon monoxide in the presence of compounds of noble metals comprised of rhodium, iridium, palladium or ruthenium as catalyst, and of a heterocyclic aromatic compound, in which at least one hetero atom is a quaternary nitrogen atom, or of a quaternary organophosphorus compound as a promoter, and optionally also in the presence of a carboxylic acid having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms and/or its anhydrides. The reaction is effected under practically anhydrous conditions at temperatures of from 350 to 420 K. and under a total pressure of up to 30 bars.

    摘要: The invention relates to a carrier-supported catalyst comprising oxides of chromium and tungsten and at least one of the oxides of molybdenum and potassium in the atomic ratio of Cr.sub.1 W.sub.0.1-0.5 Mo.sub.0-0.05 K.sub.0-0.5 on a porous carrier material, and to a process for making it. To this end, the process provides(a) for a dry porous carrier material to be saturated with water up to 40 to 80% of its predetermined saturation value;(b) for the carrier material treated as under (a) to be impregnated in any sequential order, but at least once with an aqueous solution of water-soluble compounds of chromium and, if desired, potassium, and sequentially, but at least once with a separately produced aqueous solution of a water-soluble compound of tungsten and, if desired, molybdenum, the aqueous solutions being used in either case in a quantity which is at most necessary for complete saturation;(c) for the carrier material to be dried after each impregnation over a period of 2 to 20 hours at 350 to 500 K, and(d) for the carrier material to be sintered over a period of 0.5 to 12 hours at 550 to 1000 K, in a stream of air.The carrier-supported catalyst finds use in the production of styrene by subjecting ethylbenzene to oxidative dehydrogenation with molecular oxygen in gas phase.
