New perfluorinated amino compounds of the formula ##EQU1## ARE PROVIDED WHEREIN R.sub.f represents a perfluorinated hydrocarbon radical with 1 to 18 carbon atoms and R represents hydrogen or methyl each of R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 independently represents hydrogen or the radical ##EQU2## in which R.sub.f and R have the meanings already assigned to them, p is an integer from 2 to 6 and m is an integer from 1 to about 500.Due to their surface-active properties the new compounds are useful e.g as foaming, wetting and levelling agents or as emulsifiers. They can be further used as soil-repellent additives for polishes and waxes, as corrosion inhibitors in oils or lubricants and they are also useful as intermediates for the manufacture of oil and water repellents.

Perfluoro compounds containing dichloro phosphoryl and/or dichlorophosphoryl radicals are provided which are obtained by reacting perfluoroalkylalkenes with phosphorus trichloride in the presence of oxygen. The compounds are useful to obtain oleophobic finishes on various substrates, especially on fibrous materials.

A process is described for the photochemical stabilization of undyed and dyed polyamide fibre material, and blends thereof with other fibres, using photochemically stabilizing compositions based on copper compounds of phenols, which process comprises treating the polyamide fibre material with fibre-reactive organic copper complexes of the reaction products of o-hydroxybenzoyl derivatives of the formula ##STR1## wherein R is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl and the OH substituent is located in the 3-, 4- or 5-position, with aliphatic diamines or hydroxylamine. The copper complex compounds are distinguished by a high rate of exhaustion on to the polyamide fibre material, a feature which is significant in economic terms because of the low consumption of product.

A process for the photochemical stabilization of undyed and dyed polyamide or polyurethane fibre material that is characterized in that the fibre material is treated with a water soluble, organic copper, manganese or nickel complex that displays an affinity for the fibres. The polyamide or polyurethane fibre material, e.g., textile, that has been so treated retains its stretch characteristics and elasticity even after prolonged periods of illumination. In addition, in the case of dyed material, treatment with the metal complex results in a marked improvement in light-fastness.

The present invention provides carboxylic acid amides of the formula ##STR1## in which X represents methyl or tertiary butyl, m is the integer 1 or 2, Q represents hydrogen, alkyl, alkylidene, cycloalkylidene, substituted methylene, alkylene, alkenylene or a 3,4,5 or 6-valent saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon radical and p represents an integer which corresponds to the valency of the radical Q. These carboxylic acid amides are suitable for stabilizing organic materials sensitive to oxidations.

A process for photochemical stabilization of non-dyed and dyed polyamide fibre material and mixtures thereof with other fibres which comprises treating the fibre material with a fibre-reactive copper complex of bisazomethines prepared from, for example, salicylaldehydes and aliphatic diamines is described. Some of these copper complexes used are novel compounds. The polyamide fibre material, for example textile material, thus treated largely retains its extensibility and elasticity even after relatively prolonged exposure to light. In addition, a clear improvement in light-fastness is achieved in dyed material by treatment with the metal complex.

The fluorinated carboxylic acid amides are useful e.g. as wetting agents, emulsifiers or dispersants and for producing oil-repellent finishes on porous or nonporous substrates or as intermediates for the manufacture of homo- or copolymers, which show also oil-repellent properties.
