Abstract:
The present invention relates generally to an article comprising a curable film on a release substrate and/or carrier substrate. More particularly, the curable film comprises at least one specific cyanoacrylate monomer and at least one film forming (co)polymer. The article may take the form of a label, a single-sided tape, a transfer tape or a double-sided tape.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an ionically conductive pressure sensitive adhesive composition useful as an electrode adhesive, which is an ionically conductive (meth)acrylate based pressure sensitive adhesive allowing prolonged biosignal monitoring times without skin irritation and loss of signal quality.
Abstract:
The present application is directed to an adhesive tape comprising: i) a first release liner; and, ii) a pressure sensitive adhesive layer disposed on said first release liner, wherein said pressure sensitive adhesive layer is obtained by curing an adhesive composition comprising: a) an acrylic base copolymer obtained from a monomer mixture comprising at least one C1-C12 alkyl ester of (meth)acrylic acid and at least one acid monomer selected from acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, maleic acid, fumaric acid and itaconic acid; b) a metal chelate cross-linking agent; c) at least one tackifying resin; d) an organic solvent; and, optionally e) additives. The adhesive tape optionally comprises iii) a second release liner which is disposed on that side of said pressure sensitive adhesive layer opposite to said first release liner.
Abstract:
The present application is directed to a copolymer obtained by free radical polymerization, said copolymer comprising, based on the total weight of monomers:
from 0.01 to 10 wt. % of a) at least one co-polymerizable photoinitiator having an ethylenically unsaturated group and a moiety that is decomposable under photo-irradiation to form a radical; from 0.01 to 10 wt. % of b) at least one epoxy (meth)acrylate monomer having at least one (meth)acrylate group and at least one epoxide group; and, from 80 to 99.98 wt. % of c) at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer which does not bear an epoxide group or a moiety decomposable under photo-irradiation to form a radical.
The present application is further directed to a material which is crosslinkable under photoirradiation, said material comprising: a copolymer as defined above; and, at least one ionic photoacid generator (PAG).
Abstract:
The present invention refers to a UV LED curable hotmelt pressure sensitive adhesive composition, a method for its production as well as an article comprising a first substrate and a second substrate adhered to each other with the adhesive composition according to the invention.
Abstract:
The present invention provides for curable compositions composed of one or more cyanoacrylate monomers, and one or more (co)polymers. The compositions of the present invention may exhibit pressure sensitive adhesion properties at 23° C. Subsequent cure of the compositions can be initiated as appropriate. For example, an external stimulus such as heat or radiation (e.g. UV cure) may be applied to induce cure of the composition when desired to do so.
