摘要： This invention presents a novel MgAPSO molecular sieve, containing a critical range of magnesium in the sieve framework and having a small crystallite size, which is particularly active for hydrocarbon conversion. The sieve advantageously is incorporated, along with a platinum-group metal, into a catalyst formulation which is useful for isomerization. When utilized in a process for isomerizing a non-equilibrium mixture of xylenes containing ethylbenzene, a greater yield of para-xylene is obtained compared to prior-art processes.

摘要： This invention presents a novel MgAPSO molecular sieve, containing a critical range of magnesium in the sieve framework and having a small crystallite size, which is particularly active for hydrocarbon conversion. The sieve advantageously is incorporated, along with a refractory inorganic oxide, into a catalyst formulation which is useful for alkylation. When utilized in a process for alkylating an aromatic with an olefin, for example in the production of cumene or ethylbenzene, the sieve catalyst shows favorable selectivity.

摘要： An improved process is disclosed for the isomerization of butenes and/or pentenes using a catalyst comprising a silicoaluminophosphate molecular sieve containing noncondensed silica. It is of particular interest to increase the proportion of olefins containing tertiary carbons in the product with low formation of undesirable by-products. Product olefins may be further processed to obtain ethers, which enjoy high current interest as components for reformulated gasoline.

摘要： A process for reforming a hydrocarbon stream is presented. The process involves splitting a naphtha feedstream to at least two feedstreams and passing each feedstream to separation reformers. The reformers are operated under different conditions to utilize the differences in the reaction properties of the different hydrocarbon components. The process utilizes a common catalyst, and common downstream processes for recovering the desired aromatic compounds generated.

摘要： A catalyst, a process for using the catalyst whereby the catalyst effectively transalkylates C7, C9, and C10 aromatics to C8 aromatics are disclosed. The catalyst comprises a support such as mordenite plus a metal component. The catalyst provides an enhanced life and activity for carrying out the transalkylation reactions at relatively low temperatures. This is achieved by reducing the maximum particle diameter of cylindrical pellets to 1/32 inch (0.08 cm) or a trilobe to 1/16 inch (0.16 cm).

The layered catalyst comprises an inner core having a first inorganic oxide and an outer layer bonded to the inner core. The outer layer has a non-refractory second inorganic oxide with at least one Group 1-2 metal and at least one Group 8-10 metal dispersed thereon.
