    摘要： A device for preventing laser beam leakage, which excludes a danger that a laser beam emitted from a laser source directly attacks eyes of an operator when an external connector is connected to or disconnected from an internal connector, aiming at being inexpensive and excellent in operability, and having a high safety. When the external connector has been removed from the optical transmission apparatus, a pair of movable shield plates are constantly urged in respective directions for closing a receiving opening of the apparatus to bring joining portions of the movable shield plates into close contact with each other, thereby preventing dust from entering the inside of the apparatus and the laser beam from being leaked. Further, a limit switch is provided, which stops delivering an ON signal to an E/O laser module when the external connector is pulled out of the optical transmission apparatus, whereby the E/O laser beam stops supply of the laser beam, thereby bringing into effect a perfect measure for protection of the eyes of the operation from the laser beam.

In a shelf body thereof, the first and second opening portions are made in a front surface, and an extra-cable looping device loops an extra portion of the optical cable, further a moving mechanism is provided for moving the extra-cable looping device to avoid a space occupied by the units in a state removed from the second opening portion, this enables extra-cable handling within a limited spatial range and the insertion/removal of the units having various functions from the shelf in a state where the cable is active and further the improvement of a shelf mounting density per rack.

    摘要： There is provided a document retrieval apparatus in which signatures can be easily extracted from document data, and false drop probability is reduced even for a long document so as to reduce a burden of eliminating the false drop. A processing unit converts the document data and the character string into character codes, respectively. The processing unit extracts signatures from each of the character codes, and calculates a record identifier of the document data to be stored based on a storing position of the document data in a record file. A data storing unit stores the document data to be registered in the record file, and stores the signature corresponding to the document data to be registered in a signature file. The signature is stored in a storing position in the signature file, the storing position being designated by the record identifier of corresponding document data stored in the record file. The processing unit retrieves the document data containing a character string identical to the character string to be searched for by referring to a record identifier calculated based on a storing position of the signature in a signature file.
