摘要: The present invention relates to an improvement in an exhaust system structure for a motorcycle. A motorcycle has an engine disposed between front and rear wheels, an exhaust pipe extending from the engine, and a silencer connected to the exhaust pipe for discharging exhaust gases. The silencer, which is a heavy object, is of the type having a gas outlet disposed near a gas inlet. The silencer is disposed below the engine with the gas inlet facing toward the rear wheel, and the exhaust pipe extends to a position near the rear wheel and is connected to the gas inlet of the silencer. By elongating the length of the exhaust pipe and placing the silencer under the engine, the exhaust system performs sufficiently with high output engines, while at the same time lowers the center of gravity of a motorcycle body and balances the weight of the motorcycle body in its longitudinal direction.

摘要: A power generation system includes an alkaline fuel cell provided with an electrolyte membrane which is an anion exchange membrane and a pair of electrodes (an anode and a cathode) arranged on the both sides of the electrolyte membrane. The alkaline fuel cell can generate an electric power by supplying a fuel gas and an oxidizing agent gas to the anode side and the cathode side, respectively. The power generation system uses a hydrogen gas containing a basic compound such as ammonia as the fuel gas to be supplied to the anode side.

摘要: A radio communication apparatus that transmits and receives a signal via an antenna duplexer, the apparatus that includes a dividing unit that divides part of a transmitting signal to be transmitted via the antenna duplexer. Also included is a conversion unit that converts a receiving signal of a first frequency band received via the antenna duplexer into a second frequency band lower than the first frequency band. In addition, the apparatus includes an extraction unit converting a noise component of the first frequency band included in the transmitting signal divided by the dividing unit into the second frequency band and extracting the noise component. Moreover, the apparatus includes an inversion unit that inverts the phase of the noise component extracted by the extraction unit. Also included is a combining unit that combines the receiving signal converted by the conversion unit and the noise component inverted by the inversion unit.

摘要: A device for preventing laser beam leakage, which excludes a danger that a laser beam emitted from a laser source directly attacks eyes of an operator when an external connector is connected to or disconnected from an internal connector, aiming at being inexpensive and excellent in operability, and having a high safety. When the external connector has been removed from the optical transmission apparatus, a pair of movable shield plates are constantly urged in respective directions for closing a receiving opening of the apparatus to bring joining portions of the movable shield plates into close contact with each other, thereby preventing dust from entering the inside of the apparatus and the laser beam from being leaked. Further, a limit switch is provided, which stops delivering an ON signal to an E/O laser module when the external connector is pulled out of the optical transmission apparatus, whereby the E/O laser beam stops supply of the laser beam, thereby bringing into effect a perfect measure for protection of the eyes of the operation from the laser beam.

摘要: A mold and a die-cast manufacturing method for the die-cast product, in which a main frame which is contiguously formed with a head pipe constitutes a portion of a hollow light-weight-metal-made vehicle-body frame. The mold includes a core for forming an inner space of the hollow vehicle-body frame. The core includes a core body and a plurality of splints mounted on the core body, the splints having approximately elliptical cross-sectional shapes. The long axes direction of ellipses of the splints are set parallel to a mold split surface of the mold. As a result, measurement of the positional accuracy of the splints is facilitated, a clearance between the splint and the mold can decrease by increasing the dimensional accuracy of splint mounting portions of the mold based on sizes of the splints, and the frame can be manufactured with high dimensional accuracy.
