摘要: A fluid composition for use in a viscous coupling is provided, which comprises (A) a base oil made of a polyorganosiloxane fluid having a viscosity of from about 500 to about 500,000 centistokes at 25.degree. C., and (B) at least one component selected from the group consisting of sulfur and sulfur compounds (b) to (g) listed below being added in a minor amount to said base oil;(b) a hydrocarbon sulfide;(c) a sulfurized oil or fat which is the reaction product of an oil or fat and sulfur;(d) a zinc dithiophosphate;(e) a dialkyldithiocarbamic acid metal salt;(f) elemental sulfur; and(g) a cyclic hydrocarbon sulfide.This fluid composition can be stably used in a viscous coupling for an extended period.

摘要: A power transmission apparatus having an input shaft connected, by planetary gearing, to two coaxially arranged output shafts. The planetary gearing permits differential rotation between the output shafts. A limiting device located between the output shafts to limit the differential rotation thereof. The limiting device includes a clutch member mounted on the first output shaft and alternating first and second clutch plates. The first plates are axially movable relative to and rotatably fixed to the clutch member, and the second plates are axially movable relative to and rotatably fixed to the second output shaft. An interengaging cam mechanism is carried on the clutch member and the first output shaft, and arranged such that upon relative angular movement between the clutch member and the first output shaft, the clutch member is moved axially to frictionally engage the first and second clutch plates.

摘要: A differential apparatus includes a differential casing, a pair of side gears and plural pairs of pinion gears. The pinion gears are accommodated in bores formed in the differential casing, respectively. On the side wall of the differential casing a plurality of lubrication holes are formed for introducing the lubrication oil into the differential casing. Each lubrication hole is arranged so that a center thereof is positioned in the vicinity of a meshing point of the pinion gears. In operation, due to the screw pumping effect of the pinion gears, plenty of lubrication oil is introduced into meshing portions of the pinion gears.

The device comprises a casing for receiving a torque input, output members arranged inside the casing, movable members provided movably around the output members respectively, one side face of each of the movable members forming a cam face, clutches adapted for connecting the casing with the output members, and a cam shaft fixed to the casing and located between the movable members, wherein the torque input of the casing is transmitted to the output members through two routes, i.e., through the cam and the movable members, and through the clutches. The power transmission device is further provided with several improved parts such as improved friction faces, resistant members, cam faces, and pin.

摘要: A rotatively driving apparatus includes: a differential rotation amplification mechanism for amplifying differential rotation between a rotating shaft and a drive pinion shaft which are relatively rotatable; a rotor interlockingly rotatable with a amplified differential rotation amplified; and a rotation controlling mechanism for controlling the rotation of the rotor. The rotation controlling mechanism includes a stator for constituting an electric motor together with the rotor, a variable resistor for absorbing electric energy generated by the electric motor by the rotation of the rotor, and a controller for controlling torque transmitted between the rotating shaft and the drive pinion shaft by adjusting the energy absorbed by the variable resistor. The differential rotation amplification mechanism and the rotor are disposed on an identical axis.

摘要: A differential apparatus (7) comprises: a differential casting (21) rotated by an engine power; a plurality of pinion gears (65, 66) slidably housed in accommodation holes (63, 64) formed in the differential casing; a pair of side gears (35, 37) geared with each other via the pinion gears, two opposing end surfaces thereof being slid relative to each other, either directly or via a thrust washer (61); and a block member (47, 91, 97) interposed between two inner circumferential surfaces of the two side gears so as to center the side gears, respectively. In particular, at least one oil sump (77,) is formed between the block member and the side gears, to supply lubricant to sliding portions between the bolck member (47, 91, 97) and the side gears (35, 37) and between two opposing end surfaces of the two side gears, by a centrifugal force generated by the rotating differential casing. Further, it is preferable to further form at least one central oil passage (301, 303, 305) at the centering portion (365) so as to extend from an inner circumferential side to an outer circumferential side of the boss portions (357, 359) of the two side gears (353, 355). Further, it is also preferable to form at least two radial oil passages (881, 885, 977, 978) between inner wall surfaces of the differential casing (821, 921) and the side gears (835, 837, 939, 941) respectively in such a way that a radially inward end thereof communicates with the heat oil passage (877, 879, 979L, 979R) and a radially outward end thereof communicates with sliding portion between the side gear and the differential casing, respectively.
