摘要: A body fat measuring device includes at least one pair of first electrodes to be disposed respectively at a first site and a second site sandwiching the abdomen of a subject, and an electrode group including a first abdomen electrode to be disposed at a surface of the abdomen of the subject. The first abdomen electrode includes a pair of second electrodes and a pair of third electrodes disposed in an alignment direction substantially perpendicular to a cross section of the abdomen. In a case where electric current is applied via the first electrodes, a first potential difference between electrodes of one predetermined pair included in the first abdomen electrode is detected. In a case where electric current is applied via the third electrodes, a second potential difference between the second electrodes is detected. Based on the detected two types of potential differences and physical data of the subject, the visceral fat amount of the subject is calculated.

摘要: An ultrasound diagnostic apparatus includes a transmitting device having an ultrasound probe. The transmitting device operates for transmitting a ultrasound pulse beam from the ultrasound probe into a body. A receiving device includes the ultrasound probe. The receiving device operates for receiving an ultrasound echo beam caused in the body, and converting the received ultrasound echo beam into a corresponding electric echo signal via the ultrasound probe. A delay controlling device is operative for controlling an acoustic line direction of transmission and reception of the ultrasound pulse beam and the ultrasound echo beam. A phase detection device is operative for subjecting the electric echo signal to phase detection to generate a phase-detection result signal. A tissue velocity calculating device operates for calculating a velocity of a tissue in the body from the phase-detection result signal. A display device is operative for indicating the calculated velocity of the tissue. The delay controlling device is operative for changing the acoustic line direction of transmission and reception of the ultrasound pulse beam and the ultrasound echo beam with respect to a same object.

摘要: PurposeTo provide a refrigeration cycle capacity enhancement apparatus that, in addition to lowering the temperature of coolant going from a condenser 4 to an evaporator 7, raising the temperature of coolant going from the evaporator 7 to a compressor 3, enhancing the performance thereof, and preventing the return of liquid coolant to the compressor 3, can also keep the pressure on the coolant from becoming higher and higher under high loading.ConstitutionTaking note of the fact that the capacity of a heat exchanger 5 is raised by combining drain water D from an evaporator 7 with the heat exchanger 5, this is a refrigeration cycle capacity enhancement apparatus that comprises a compressor 3 and a condenser 4 installed on the engine compartment 12 side of a vehicle, and an evaporator 7 installed on the vehicle cabin 13 side thereof. The heat exchanger 5 is provided to exchange heat between the coolant going from the condenser 4 toward the evaporator 7 and the coolant going from the evaporator 7 toward the compressor 3, while drain water D is conveyed to the heat exchanger 5 from the evaporator 7.
