摘要: A switching control circuit includes a serial-to-parallel converter, a rewritable storage device, and a decoder. The serial-to-parallel converter performs serial-to-parallel conversion for converting an inputted first control signal into a first parallel signal, and outputs the first parallel signal. The rewritable storage device has a write mode and a read mode selectively switched over in response to a storage mode switching signal, stores therein data of the first parallel signal in the write mode, and outputs the stored data as a second parallel signal in the read mode. In the read mode, the decoder decodes the first control signal and the second parallel signal to generate and output a plurality of element control signals to a plurality of elements, respectively. In the write mode, the decoder holds the plurality of element control signals generated in the read mode.

摘要: In a DB retrieval method, a two-step retrieval including quantitative and qualitative retrievals is interactively performed so that, through the operation of image information (e.g. map information) having a correspondence to a DB having text information such as attribute information stored therein, attribute information corresponding to the map information is retrieved from the DB. The quantitative retrieval includes a DB information reading process for reading image information, attribute information and information relevant thereto, and a quantitative retrieval process for making a quantitative retrieval including the partial overlaying of another information for retrieval on the original image information (or map information) or a rough retrieval with the other information used as a retrieval key called information lens, and storing the result of retrieval into a work file. The qualitative retrieval includes a DB information reading process for reading image information, attribute information and information relevant thereto, which are stored in the work file, and a qualitative retrieval process for making a qualitative retrieval in which the original image information (or map information) is overlaid with a retrieval key called a function sheet including the composition of a qualitative retrieval condition and an image indicative of a range of application of the retrieval condition, and displaying the result.

摘要: An executable program is stored in compressed form in a ROM, from which compressed program data is fetched to be expanded by an expandor to a pre-compression form. The expanded data is then decoded by an instruction decoder for execution. This novel setup reduces a memory usage amount in main storage including the ROM. If a branch instruction appears, a controller converts a pre-compression branch destination address to a corresponding post-compression branch destination address and sets a value thereof to a program counter.

摘要: In a manually sweeping type printing apparatus having a lighter weight than a force in printing, the printing operation is effected without applying any external depression load. The printing apparatus includes a thermal head a piezoelectric actuator which performs movements of expansion and contraction in synchronism with an alternating voltage, and means for coupling the thermal head to the piezoelectric actuator with maintaining vibrations. The piezoelectric acutator is manufactured by stacking a plurality of piezoelectric ceramic sheets, and stretched in an axial direction thereof upon receiving the alternating voltage. This deformation causes another vibration of the thermal head in the axial direction, whereby the force against the recording paper is obtained by the vibration of the thermal head. An average value "F" of the force "F" exerted by the thermal head against the recording paper is set not to be more than the weight of the printing apparatus. Also a maximum value of the force is selected to be more than a minimum value of the required force. As a consequence, although the weight of the printing apparatus is less than the force in printing, such a printing apparatus can be realized that more than the force required for thermally-transferring the heat transfer ink to the recording paper can be delivered.

摘要: A stress sensor in which the direction and magnitude of a stress being applied to a post bonded to or integrated with an insulating board can be grasped from variation in the resistance of resistor elements being stimulated by application of the stress while suppressing variation in the shape of each resistor. The resistor element comprises a resistor formed, by screen print, between a pair of electrodes for the resistor element, i.e. circuit pattern electrodes, arranged on the surface of the insulating board. The electrode is connected, through a conductor, with a board terminal part arranged at one end of the insulating board. The electrode and the conductor or a print accuracy adjusting member have a constant height from the surface of the insulating board. Arrangement of the conductor, electrode and print accuracy adjusting member is entirely identical or similar for the resistor elements in the vicinity thereof.

摘要: The integrated structure of the stress sensor section with the control section facilitates the confirmatin of the matching of both sections before the input device is incorporated into an electronic device. For example, it is possible to select only the input device which exhibits favorable matching as a result of the confirmation and to incorporate it in the electronic device. Therefore, with the above-described structure of the present invention, and input device that enables constantly favorable matching of both the stress section and the control section can be provided.
