摘要： The present invention provides a phase shifting apparatus and method. The phase shifting apparatus comprises a signal generator and a converting device. An input signal is converted by the offset signals from the signal generator, thereby producing an output signal with the same frequency as that of the input signal. The phase of the output signal is determined by the difference of the offset signals applied to the converting device. In particular, when two offset signals are in quadrature, the output signal becomes in quadrature with the input signal. When the two offset signals have the same phase, the output signal has the same phase as that of the input signal. Preferably, the converting device includes two cascaded offset means, each having a multiplier and a filter coupling to the multiplier. A plurality of converting means may be coupled in parallel to the signal generator. On the basis of the offset signals applied to respective converting means, the phase shifting apparatus provides a plurality of outputs having different phase shifts. The frequency range of the input signal is very width and the phase shifting apparatus may operate in analog and digital forms.

摘要： The apparatus and method described herein shows a system of determining the delay of a delayed version of a sequence of images with respect to a relatively undelayed version. The system operates to take multiple samples of the delayed and undelayed versions at approximately the same sample position on the image and to correlate these samples over multiple image frames to determine which of a plurality of delayed images most closely match a given undelayed image. By knowing which delayed image frame most closely matches a given undelayed image frame it is shown to arrive at a coarse number of frames of delay. A fine delay measurement is achieved by adding a measure of the instantaneous frame to frame delay with respect to a known corresponding feature of the respective video type signals. The invention is also useful for comparing a given image to other images to determine the closest match.

摘要： A device and a process for delumping pasty masses in waste materials from paper manufacture. The delumping means employs at least one rotating cylindrical drum having a plurality of flexible fingers mounted on the drum. Pasty masses are supplied to the delumper preferably by a chute mounted to the top of the delumper, and are struck by the flexible fingers of the rotating drum. Annular recesses are formed at the base of the flexible fingers which mates with a plurality of bores in the drum housings. Preferably, the fingers are rubber.

摘要： An acceleration sensor comprises a tube formed of an electrically-conductive, nonmagnetic material; an annular magnetically-permeable element, such as a iron washer, encircling a longitudinal portion of the tube; a magnetic sensing mass in the tube which magnetically interacts with the washer so as to be magnetically biased towards a first or "rest" position in the tube characterized in that a longitudinal portion of the sensing mass is situated within the portion of the tube encircled by the washer, the sensing mass being displaced from its rest position in the tube towards a second position therein in response to an accelerating force exceeding the magnetic bias thereon; and a switch operated by the sensing mass when the sensing mass is displaced to its second position in the tube. The instant accelerometer features a low threshold magnetic bias of the sensing mass of perhaps a fraction of 1 g to provide a quickened sensing mass response to acceleration inputs of short duration; whereafter the magnetic bias increases so as to peak when the sensing mass is displaced to a position within the passage intermediate its first and second positions therein, and thereafter decreases to a value equal to or slightly greater than 0.8 gs to maximize switch contact dwell time.
