    摘要： An adaptor in accordance with the present invention allows a conventional magnetic stripe card POS reader to receive information from contact-based or wireless sources while maintaining the concurrent ability of the reader to interact with a magnetic stripe card. In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, the adaptor includes an inductor capable of generating a magnetic field of sufficient power to couple with a head of a magnetic stripe card reader through the housing of the reader device. In this manner, the adaptor can be positioned external to the reader device, leaving the slot of the reader accessible for conventional interactions with magnetic stripe cards. Selective inductive communication with individual heads of the reader device may exploit their differing sensitivity to external magnetic fields generated by the adaptor.

    摘要： A luggage cart includes a supporting tray and a latching mechanism. The latching mechanism includes a top seat, a fastening member, an actuating member, a bottom seat fixed to the supporting tray, and a latch bolt. The fastening member has a flange cap portion adapted for securing to a luggage container, and a shaft portion formed with a first locking part. The latch bolt is mounted to the bottom seat and is slidingly engaged with the actuating member. The actuating member is movable to move the latch bolt from a locking position, where the latch bolt engages the first locking part of the fastening member, to an unlocked position, where the latch bolt is disengaged from the first locking part to permit removal of the fastening member.

    摘要： A system and computer program product for managing the lifecycle of an object, where the lifecycle involves a plurality of states of the object, at least one transition between the plurality of states and at least one role who has authority to execute the at least one transition. At least one of the plurality of states, the at least one transition and the at least one role is mapped to Web Ontology Language (OWL) elements. The role related control information is obtained using the reasoning ability of OWL itself according to the above mapping. Furthermore, the lifecycle is managed according to the above role related control information. Using the principles of the present invention, the access control information of roles can be embedded into the lifecycle description and therefore the lifecycle management can be realized easily.
