摘要: A system and method for efficiently enabling local security connectivity between electronic devices over multiple bearers. Electronic devices are configured to advertise, over each bearer, their respective configuration parameters for each bearer. After a connection has been established between the electronic devices over a first bearer, the two electronic devices use the first bearer to establish connections over the other bearers using the configuration parameters contained in the advertisements and advertised over the first bearer. Shared keys are established for the other bearers either using keys derived from the first shared key or by using the first secure connection as an out-of-band channel. The present invention also provides for the creation of an ad hoc WLAN connection once a Bluetooth connection has been established.

摘要: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided for configuring and controlling guest access sharing. In the context of a method, a method is provided that includes causing a network scan to be initiated and receiving the results of said network scan, the results comprising information regarding an access point and determining, based on the received results, whether the access point comprises two or more network interfaces. The method further includes causing a guest access sharing configuration procedure to be initiated if the access point comprises two or more network interfaces. The guest access sharing configuration procedure includes causing guest access information to be uploaded to a server. Another method is provided that includes receiving and storing guest access information, receiving a request to obtain the guest access information and causing the guest access information to be provided to a device if the device has permission to access it.

摘要: In one embodiment, in absence of transmitting from an apparatus a reservation request frame, the apparatus receives a reservation response frame on an assigned channel. The reservation response frame indicates a duration of a frame transmission. In response to receiving the reservation response frame, the apparatus transmits a frame on the assigned channel during the frame transmission. In another embodiment, in response to receiving a reservation request frame on a first channel at an apparatus, the apparatus transmits a reservation response frame on the first channel and on at least one second channel. The reservation request frame indicates a duration of a frame transmission. The reservation response frame indicates the duration of the frame transmission. After transmitting the reservation response frame, this apparatus receives during the frame transmission a first frame on the primary channel and a second frame on the at least one secondary channel.

摘要: In one aspect thereof the invention provides a method that includes transmitting from a first (beaconing) mesh point at least one multicast or broadcast frame; and transitioning the first mesh point to a lower power mode of operation state after expiration of a specified post groupcast time from a last multicast or broadcast frame that was transmitted by the beaconing mesh point after expiration of an awake window, or when the awake window expires, whichever occurs later. In another aspect thereof the invention provides a method that includes operating a peer mesh point in an awake state; and maintaining the peer mesh point in the awake state for no more than a specified post groupcast time after a last target beacon transmission time, or a last received beacon frame, or a receipt of multicast or broadcast frame having an indication that another multicast or broadcast frame will be transmitted. A computer-readable medium storing program instructions to implement the methods is also disclosed, as are corresponding apparatus.

摘要: Various embodiments are described relating to selecting anchor nodes among nodes in a wireless network. In an example embodiment, a topological arrangement of a first wireless node and one or more other wireless nodes neighboring to the first wireless node in a wireless network may be determined by the first wireless node. A second wireless node may be selected to perform anchor node operations for the first wireless node based on the determined topological arrangement. For example, the first wireless node may select itself to perform the anchor node operations based on the determined topological arrangement.

摘要: In one aspect thereof the invention provides a method that includes transmitting a beacon frame from a first mesh point to a second mesh point; determining if a trigger frame is received at the first mesh point within some predetermined period of time from the second mesh point and, if the trigger frame is not received, transmitting a request to trigger frame from the first mesh point to the second mesh point. In another aspect thereof the invention provides a method that includes receiving a request to trigger frame at a first mesh point from a second mesh point and in response, transmitting an acknowledgment to the request to trigger frame to the second mesh point. A computer-readable medium storing program instructions to implement the methods is also disclosed, as are corresponding apparatus.
