摘要: The disclosure generally relates to a method and apparatus for wireless charging station with adaptive radio interference detection and control. During wireless charging of a smart device, the harmonics associated with the magnetic resonance coupling between the power transmission unit (PTU) and the power receiving unit (PRU) may interfere with radio communication if PRU engages in radio messaging. The disclosed embodiments provide method and system for identifying interference and adapting the wireless charging power to reduce or eliminate interference while efficiently charging the PRU.

摘要: The disclosure relates generally to method, system and apparatus to optimize wireless charging to identify a proximal Near-Field Communication (NFC) tag and prevent damage by a magnetic wireless charging field. The disclosed embodiment provide different methods for NFC tag detection without impacting A4WP wireless charging. In an exemplary method, dedicated NFC reader is used to interleave the NFC and A4WP signals on the same coil. In one implementation the signals are frequency-multiplexed. In another implementation, the signals are time-multiplexed.

摘要: An embodiment of the present invention provides a method of detecting user presence, comprising registering a client associated with the user on a host associated with the user and setting up a wireless communication pairing, wherein while setting up the pairing, the client measures the host wireless communication power and uses it as calibration threshold for distance detection, and wherein the client measures a beacon power of the host radio and when the beacon power is above a threshold, the client is determined to be proximate to the host.

In this implementation, the low radiating antenna is configured to provide local wireless communication (i.e., Wi-Fi based communication) between a docking pair that includes the wireless device and the docking station.

摘要: Described herein are techniques related to near field coupling and wireless power transfers. A portable device may include a coil antenna that includes an upper loop and a lower loop to form a figure-eight arrangement. The figure-eight coil antenna arrangement is wrapped against top and bottom surfaces of a component to establish near field coupling through front side, top side, bottom side, or corner side of the portable device. Further, a flux guide may be placed between the coil antenna and the component to facilitate magnetic flux at the upper loop and the lower loop to induce current of the same phase during receive mode. During transmit mode, the flux guide facilitates the magnetic flux at the upper loop and the lower loop to generate magnetic fields of the same direction.

摘要: Techniques are disclosed involving coils that may be used to exchange wireless energy between devices. For instance, a device may include a coil having a plurality of turns arranged along an arc. Further, the coil may have first and second ends that are substantially normal to the arc. The coil may be arranged within a casing of the device. This casing may have first and second non-parallel surfaces. In embodiments, the first end of the coil may be directed to (be substantially parallel with and proximate to) the first surface, while the second end of the coil may be directed to the substantially parallel with and proximate to) the second surface. The coil may be employed in wireless power transfer and/or near field communication applications.
