    摘要: The present invention provides a drive engagement control and speed governor system for a vehicle which is capable of adapting a prior art system, known as a DEC/G system, to different types of vehicles. To accomplish this, the invention provides a valve system having fluid pressure delivery as a function of the magnitude of the control signal fed by an electronic control system. According to this invention, the electronic control system transmits a control signal to the valve system which is only sufficient to eliminate the spinning of a drive wheel on such vehicle or to eliminate exceeding of a predetermined maximum speed by an operator of such vehicle.

In order to facilitate removal of the housing for changing brake pads, the housing is segmented, such as in the form of a pair of semi-cylindrical segments which are secured to the respective peripheries of oppositely facing disks. The housing segments may be removed independently of the brake actuating mechanism, that is, the wheel cylinder, to permit the pads to be changed. The housing segments may also be mounted such that they may be partially unsecured and then swung out of the way of access to the brake pads.

    摘要: A valve arrangement includes a pressure medium inlet chamber, a pressure medium outlet chamber connected to a consumer, for example, a brake cylinder, and a pressure medium exhaust leading to a pressure medium sink. The pressure medium inlet chamber is connected to a pressure medium source. The pressure medium outlet chamber can be connected by operation of a controllable inlet valve to the pressure medium inlet chamber and by a controllable exhaust valve to a pressure medium sink. The actuating force requirement is small because the pressure force on the active surface of the graduating piston is absorbed by the regulating spring. As a result, the actuating force requirement of such arrangement is very low by comparison with the actuating force requirement of heretofore known arrangements. This feature permits facilitated selection of an actuating force requirement by placement of a spring which acts in opposition to an operating element of the arrangement. The invention finds particular significance in applications directed to vehicle braking systems.

Defects in the area of the slack readjustment device can result in an erroneous and defective brake behavior. The motion of the brake mechanism is used for the generation of a first measurement distance (s). The motion of the slack readjustment device (5, 7) is used for the generation of a second measurement distance (n). A regulating distance (q), formed by a superpositioning of the measurement distances (s) and (n), can be scanned and recorded with a distance sensor (17) of a signal generator (18). The signal, corresponding to the regulating distance (q), can be transformed into signals corresponding to the measurement distances (s) and (n) in an evaluation device. The evaluation device serves for a continuous surveillance and monitoring of the brake release gap and of the brake lining wear at a vehicle or in a diagnostic center, where the evaluation device can be connected to the vehicle.
