    摘要: A network protector relay for a circuit breaker includes a microcontroller routine which provides a positive sequence network voltage from polyphase network voltages on a network bus. Another microcontroller routine provides a positive sequence phasing voltage from the polyphase network voltages on the network bus and polyphase feeder voltages on a feeder bus. A recloser circuit automatically recloses the circuit breaker connected between the polyphase feeder bus and the polyphase network bus in response to a function of a plurality of setpoints and the positive sequence phasing voltage which indicates a first flow of power from the polyphase feeder bus to the polyphase network bus. A receiver receives a remote close command. Another routine temporarily changes at least one of the setpoints in response to the received close command, in order to conditionally close the circuit breaker for a second flow of power from the polyphase feeder bus to the polyphase network bus, with the second flow of power being less than the first flow of power.

    摘要: A data processing system includes a shared functional unit having access and egress through a plurality of communication channels to several data handling units. The communication channels are multiplexed under control of a priority selection circuit normally arranged as a ladder from highest to lowest priority. Request signals for the various channels are each passed through a respective gate conditioned by a request enable device which is susceptible of being disabled whenever a select signal for that particular channel has been caused to serve the associated handling unit while channels of lower priority have request signals still demanding selection. When the request signal of lowest order at the time has been served, all request enable devices are reset in order to return to full priority selection.

    摘要: A hybrid monolithic IC that is standardized for controlling various types of electrical equipment, such as circuit breakers, motor controllers and the like. The IC is a hybrid monolithic IC, fabricated in CMOS technology. The shortcomings of utilizing CMOS technology for linear or analog circuitry is overcome by the implementation of the IC to provide a hybrid monolithic IC that is relatively less expensive than using multiple IC's or a single IC fabricated from biCMOS technology. Also, by utilizing a single IC, such control and monitoring circuitry can be located in existing electrical equipment. The IC includes an on-board microprocessor, an A/D subsystem and various input/output devices which make it adaptable for use in various types of electrical equipment. In order to improve the resolution of the A/D subsystem, circuitry is provided, which includes current and voltage ranging amplifiers for ranging analog input voltage and current signals and compensating internal offsets, in such amplifiers, inherent in CMOS linear circuits which can affect the accuracy of the least significant bit. The ranging circuitry is controlled either automatically or manually to provide additional resolution of the A/D subsystem.

    摘要: An electronic identification tag interrogation method is provided in which a portal transmits an interrogation signal which is received by an electronic identification tag within its field of range. The interrogation signal includes an address which requests a response from every tag having an address greater than or equal to the address of the signal. If more than one reply is received by the portal, the interrogation address is bisected and the interrogation signal is retransmitted. The interrogation address is successively bisected until a single response is isolated. When a single response is isolated, communication is directed between the portal and the identification tag and the interrogation system is reset to isolate and identify any remaining tags.
