摘要: In an apparatus for controlling an air/fuel ratio of a general-purpose internal combustion engine using mixed fuel containing alcohol and gasoline and operated at a desired engine speed inputted by the operator while a throttle opening is regulated such that a detected engine speed converges to the inputted desired engine speed, a fuel injection amount determined for mixed fuel based on fuel injection amount characteristics is increased/decreased when a load is kept constant and the output air/fuel ratio is estimated to correct the fuel injection amount by the estimated air/fuel ratio, while a switch (knob) is installed to be manipulated by the operator to switch the fuel injection amount characteristics.

摘要: In a system for controlling a general-purpose air-cooled internal combustion engine having two cylinders each equipped with a throttle valve and a fuel injector, and a cooling fan that selectively directs air onto the cylinders, a throttle driver selectively drives the respective throttle valve of each cylinder to open or close. The system also includes an injector driver that selectively drives the respective injector of each cylinder to open, and a controller that controls operation of the throttle driver and injector driver in such a way that the throttle opening and an amount of fuel to be injected are different for each cylinder, such that an engine speed becomes substantially constant, thereby enabling the engine to obtain desired output characteristics.

摘要: In a blowby gas treatment system for a multiple cylinder engine, in which: a first cylinder and a second cylinder are provided to the engine; a first fuel supply device that always operates during operation of the engine is connected to the first cylinder; and a second fuel supply device that is capable of stopping an operation thereof during the operation of the engine is connected to the second cylinder, first and second branch pipes of an intake manifold are connected to the first and second cylinders, and a blowby gas outlet of a breather chamber and a blowby gas inlet opening into the first branch pipe communicate with each other via a breather pipe, the breather chamber collecting a blowby gas of the engine. Accordingly, when any of the cylinders is stopped, it is possible to easily prevent a blowby gas from flowing toward the stopped cylinder.

摘要: In a control system of a lawn mower having an internal combustion engine controlled to a desired engine speed by a throttle actuator, a blade connected to the engine to be driven to cut grass, an engine output is estimated based on a detected throttle position and the desired engine speed, and when the estimated engine output exceeds a prescribed value, the grass bag is determined to be full of cut grass. With this, a full grass bag can be detected and the operator informed without providing a dedicated sensor. In addition, a blade switch that inputs a drive instruction to drive the blade and a running switch that inputs a running instruction to propel the lawn mower are provided, and the desired engine speed is set to a first speed when neither the drive instruction nor the running instruction is inputted, but is changed immediately to a second speed, set higher than the first speed, when the drive instruction is inputted, or is changed to the second speed gradually, when the running instruction is inputted, whereby fuel efficiency and operability are improved.

A rate of alcohol contained in the fuel is estimated from the estimated air/fuel ratio and the fuel injection amount is corrected based on the estimated alcohol rate, thereby determining the fuel injection amount appropriately in accordance with the estimated alcohol rate.

摘要: A carburetor electronic control system includes: transmission devices coupled to valves for opening and closing an intake path of a carburetor; electric motors that make the valves open and close via the transmission devices; and an electronic control unit for controlling the operation of the electric motors. The interior of a casing joined to one side face of the carburetor is divided by a partition plate into a transmission chamber on the carburetor side and a drive chamber on the opposite side. The transmission devices and the electric motors are housed and held in the transmission chamber and the drive chamber, respectively. Therefore, the transmission devices, the electric actuators, and the electronic control unit can be housed in a common casing, thereby reducing the dimensions of the carburetor electronic control system.

摘要: In an engine speed control system for a snow remover, the engine speed is controlled at the desired speed by driving the throttle valve with an electric motor, the engine output power corresponding to the load acting on the snow removal mechanism or travel mechanism is estimated based on the throttle position and the engine speed, and the desired speed is increased in stepwise fashion to a higher value when the estimated engine output power exceeds first through third ascending threshold values. With this, the engine speed maintained when a small load is acting on the snow removal mechanism or travel mechanism can be set to a lower value, whereby the noise level can be reduced and fuel efficiency improved compared with the prior art wherein a mechanical governor is used to adjust the engine speed.
