    摘要: A facsimile apparatus for high-speed transmission of a plurality of images. If the last one line of an image data to be transmitted first among the connected images is not an all-white line, an all-white line is added to the data and the image data is MMR-encoded. Further, zero to N-1 "1" bits (N : a system bus width) are added to the coded data so as to render the coded data a multiple of a predetermined data unit. The coded data is transferred to a modem for image transmission. Thereafter, a subsequent MMR-coded image data is transmitted. The apparatus can thus transmit byte-packed image data stored in a memory in advance for image transmission without decoding and encoding the image data or re-executing byte-packing.

    摘要: A recording apparatus such as a facsimile apparatus comprises a first control unit to perform a control regarding the generation of dot data, a second control unit for controlling the recording operation, a fan to reduce a temperature in the apparatus, a heat fixing device having a heater, and detectors such as thermistors for detecting temperatures at a plurality of positions near the fixing device. Each of the first and second control units generates a first control signal to control the rotation of the fan on the basis of detection outputs from the thermistors. The heat fixing device has a cylindrical endless film made by polyimide or the like whose inner surface is come into contact with the heater and a pressure roller which is come into contact with the outside of the endless film. A recording paper is sandwiched between the film and the pressure roller and passes therebetween.

When the step drive command is to the stepping motor the stepping motor is driven by one step angle. According to the response characteristic of the stepping motor, an inhibited period when the reception of the next step drive command is inhibited and a reception period when the reception is enabled are set up. If the next step drive command is applied during the inhibited period, the system waits until the reception period. Then, the stepping motor is driven by one step angle.
