A timing circuit may be set based, at least in part, on a phase value obtained from a signal from a ground-based transmitter, and operation of the device may be selectively transitioned to a lower power mode wherein the device uses the timing circuit. In certain example implementations, operation of the device to the lower power mode may be selectively transition and based, at least in part, on a determination that one or more attribute values satisfy a profile test indicating that the electronic device is likely to be within a characterized environment, and/or a determination that the electronic device is likely to be in a constrained motion state.

    摘要: Herein a method for slice selection is provided in an MRI process, the method involves controlling a transmit array by adding low flip angle RF pulses interspersed between refocusing pulses that are used to move a k-space weighting function with respect to one or more B 1 fields used to deposit energy according to a desired k-space weighting function. The low flip angle pulses deposit energy so that an envelope traced by the low flip angle pulses in the k-space weighting function is related to a desired spatially excited region of the sample volume, for example by a Fourier transform, if the phase encoding directions are linear axes that coordinatize the sample volume, and the B 1 fields have linear phase gradients.

    摘要: Apparatus are provided, including an embedded display processor on a given chip. The apparatus may be an embedded device, for example, a mobile wireless communications device. More specifically, the apparatus may be a mobile phone, a portable gaming device, a video streaming device, or a GPS map drawing device. The display processor includes, on the same given chip, a rendering memory, from which pixels are rendered to a display device. The display processor further includes an image manipulation mechanism to manipulate pixels of a given image frame from source positions in a pre-manipulation buffer, to target positions in the rendering memory, the target positions corresponding to rendered positions in the given image frame. The display processor further includes a fetch mechanism to fetch, from the pre-manipulation buffer, a predetermined number of neighboring pixels including adjacent cross-row pixels traversing a plurality of rows while in their source positions, the adjacent cross-row pixels being intended for target positions in a common row in accordance with the manipulation to be performed by the manipulation mechanism. The display processor further includes a send mechanism to send, from the rendering memory, a set of the neighboring pixels, including adjacent common row pixels on a common row after having been manipulated, to the display device in accordance with a given dynamic refresh rate and scheme. The display processor further includes a reconfigure mechanism to periodically reconfigure a manner of assignment of addresses and physical locations for data stored in the rendering memory.

    摘要: In a method of spatial encoding in magnetic resonance experiments, encoding kernels are imposed into the magnetization signal during the excitation or re-focussing process using a transmit array coil. Separate transmit array coil elements are provided so that in a particular phase encode direction, z in this case, they can be driven to produce partially orthogonal B1 fields, Tt(r), that exhibit a Fourier phase distribution given by Tt(r)=T0ei(ktTz)=T0ei(tΔkzz). The NMR signal, Sm(kn), received by a coil array element m of the M receive coils, during application of a pulse sequence for the n-th phase encoding step in k-space is then given by Sm(kn)=∫drρ′(r)ei(kn·r)Cm(r) such that ρ′(r)=ρ(r)Tt(r)=ρ(r)T0ei(tΔkzz) where kn is the nth spatial encoding k-space trajectory for the spatial dimension r, Cm(r) is the receive coil sensitivity, and ρ′(r) represents the magnetization spatial distribution arising from the spin density spatial distribution ρ(r), the pulse sequence and the transmit array excitation/re-focussing phase profile. It is clear that using an appropriately driven transmit array capable of producing the tth phase encode term, gradient phase encode steps may be eliminated.
