摘要: A call admission control system in an asynchronous transfer mode exchange includes a unit for describing attribute parameters of a cell from the subscriber terminal; a unit for calculating, based on the attribute parameters, the average and the dispersion of the traffic speeds of the call; a unit for managing data of the average and the dispersion on each output route and data relating to each subscriber; and a unit for calculating the total average and the total dispersion of the data speeds on the selection output route; and a unit for calculating prediction values of cell abandon rate and end-to-end delay based on the average and the dispersion on the selected output route calculated by the total average and dispersion calculating unit, and for comparing the prediction values with the required service quality of cell discard rate and end-to end delay, for determining whether or not the requesting call may be connected.

摘要: A transfer device includes a transfer member and a bias applicator. The transfer member contacts a surface, on which a toner image is borne, of an image bearing body, to form a transfer nip. The bias applicator applies a DC voltage and an AC voltage as transfer bias to transfer the toner image on the image bearing body to a recording sheet in the transfer nip. The bias applicator applies a DC voltage having a same polarity as the DC voltage of the transfer bias and an AC voltage having an amplitude smaller than the AC voltage of the transfer bias or applies the DC voltage having the same polarity as the DC voltage of the transfer bias without applying an AC voltage, when an inter-sheet area that exists on the image bearing body passes through the transfer nip during a continuous image formation period.

摘要: A torque wrench equipped with a cam-type torque detection mechanism is provided which is capable of detecting a torque with high accuracy, providing a non-unusual-feeling of handle operation after torque has been detected, and enabling tightening of fastened members such as bolts with safety. In a torque wrench equipped with the cam-type torque detection mechanism, a cam portion 27 formed on the outer circumference of a tubular cam 22 includes: a static engagement cam surface 27a with which a roller member 18 in a static status engages in a non-operated status; a gradually increasing torque peak cam surface 27b which is connected to the static engagement cam surface 27a and with which the roller member 18 is brought into contact while moving to thereby gradually increase the torque peak value; a cam top surface 27c forming the cam top portion continued to the gradually increasing torque peak cam surface 27b; a gradually decreasing torque cam surface 27d for gradually decreasing a plus torque to the roller member 18 to zero; and a minus torque cam surface 27e for imparting a minus torque to the roller member 18 having passed over the gradually decreasing torque cam surface 27d.

In the applying step, the high-frequency bias is a temporally modulated high-frequency electricity. According to the method of etching, a yielding rate and a productivity can be improved.

摘要: Provides an automatic changer with excellent space efficiency, by reducing the size of a hand mechanism section that is mounted with a CCD. The automatic changer selects and holds one desired cartridge from among one of accommodation cells provided in a magazine, conveys this selected cartridge to a recording/reproducing apparatus, and reads a bar code label adhered to the side surface of the cartridge thereby to identify the cartridge. The automatic changer has the CCD that reads a bar code disposed in the inner part of a casing that movably accommodates a hand mechanism section for holding the cartridge. The automatic changer also has a condenser lens for focusing the image of the bar code on the CCD disposed at one part of the hand mechanism section. With this arrangement, the automatic changer moves the hand mechanism section to the front of the cartridge accommodated in the accommodation cell, and focuses the image of the bar code on the CCD. Then, the CCD identifies the contents of the cartridge.
