Abstract:
Improvements in an adjustable box and adapter are disclosed for mounting a junction box directly to a stud, between studs, and to a ceiling using an adaptor and adjusting the position of said junction box. The junction box can be secured to the adaptor using screws. Longitudinal slots on the adaptor allow the adjustment of the position of the junction box along the adaptor by loosening the screws. The screws can be tightened or loosened using the screwheads or attachments on the screws, thereby allowing the adjustment of the junction box from both within the junction box and outside the junction box.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus of Inter/Intra prediction for a chroma component performed by a video encoder or video decoder are disclosed. According to this method, a current chroma prediction block (e.g. a prediction unit, PU) is divided into multiple chroma prediction sub-blocks (e.g. sub-PUs). A corresponding luma prediction block is identified for each chroma prediction sub-block. A chroma prediction mode for each chroma prediction sub-block is determined from a luma prediction mode associated with the corresponding luma prediction block. A local chroma predictor for the current chroma prediction block is generated by applying a prediction process to the multiple chroma prediction sub-blocks using respective chroma prediction modes. In other words, the prediction process is applied at the chroma prediction sub-block level. After the local chroma predictor is derived, a coding block associated with the current chroma prediction block is encoded or decoded using information comprising the local chroma predictor.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus of block partition for prediction process or transform process in video coding are disclosed. Whether a smallest allowed block size smaller than 4 is allowed is determined and information related to the decision is signalled in SPS (sequence parameter set), PPS (picture parameter set) or slice header regarding. If the smallest allowed block size smaller than 4 is allowed, the current block is partitioned into one or more sub-blocks using a block size set including the smallest allowed block size. The smallest allowed block size is 2 in one embodiment. According to another method, a threshold area is determined and transform skip mode is applied to the current block if the current block area of the current block is equal to or smaller than the threshold area.
Abstract:
Improvements in a bracket is disclosed for mounting an electrical box onto a mounting bar. An electrical box can be preinstalled onto the bracket and clamped onto the mounting bar using wings. Bendable tabs can be articulated to secure the bracket and onto a rail. Fasteners are used to secure an electrical junction box onto the bracket and an additional fastener secures the sub assembly to the rail. The tabs can be unbent for removal. An installer can secure the bracket and electrical box using a screw and adjust the position of the bracket on the mounting bar. The bracket provides a low profile assemble that allows the bracket to be installed between the inner surfaces of stud walls.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for depth lookup table (DLT) signaling in a three-dimensional and multi-view coding system are disclosed. According to the present invention, if the pictures contain only texture data, no DLT information is incorporated in the picture parameter set (PPS) corresponding to the pictures. On the other hand, if the pictures contain depth data, the DLT associated with the pictures is determined. If a previous DLT required for predicting the DLT exists, the DLT will be predicted based on the previous DLT. Syntax related to the DLT is included in the PPS. Furthermore, first bit-depth information related to first depth samples of the DLT is also included in the PPS and the first bit-depth information is consistent with second bit-depth information signaled in a sequence level data for second depth samples of a sequence containing the pictures.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for encoding or decoding a motion vector (MV) of a current block of a current picture using advanced temporal motion vector prediction are disclosed. At least two collocated pictures are selected from a set of reference pictures of the current picture. One or more TMVPs are derived based on reference motion vectors (MVs) associated with collocated reference blocks of the collocated pictures. A motion vector prediction candidate set including one or more TMVPs is then determined. The current block is encoded or decoding using the motion vector prediction candidate set. The reference motion vectors (MVs) are scaled before the reference motion vectors (MVs) are used to derive the TMVPs.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus of Intra prediction mode coding using one or more extended neighbouring blocks are disclosed. The set of extended neighbouring blocks comprises at least one neighbouring block not corresponding to a top-left neighbouring block and not corresponding to a leftmost-above neighbouring block. One or more Intra prediction mode candidates derived based on Intra prediction modes of the set of extended neighbouring blocks related to the current block are used to predict the current Intra prediction mode of the current block. The set of extended neighbouring blocks may comprise spatial neighbouring blocks of the current block. The set of extended neighbouring blocks may also comprise temporal neighbouring blocks within a collocated block of the current block. Another method and apparatus for unified candidate Intra prediction mode list for different colour components are disclosed.

An ion-exchange membrane is disclosed here including ion-permeable layers impregnated with an ion-exchange material and arranged in an order from one face of the membrane to the opposite face of the membrane such that opposing layers in the supporting membrane substrate provide sufficiently identical physical properties to substantially avoid irregular expansion when in a salt solution. The ion-permeable layers including at least one non-woven layer and at least one reinforcing layer.
Abstract:
A method of sub-PU (prediction unit) syntax element signaling for a three-dimensional or multi-view video coding system is disclosed. A first syntax element associated with a texture sub-PU size is transmitted only for texture video data and a second syntax element associated with a depth sub-PU size is transmitted only for depth video data. The first syntax element associated with the texture sub-PU size is used to derive an IVMP (inter-view motion prediction) prediction candidate used for a texture block. The second syntax element associated with the depth sub-PU size is used to a MPI (motion parameter inheritance) prediction candidate for a depth block.
Abstract:
A method of depth map coding for a three-dimensional video coding system incorporating consistent texture merging candidate is disclosed. According to the first embodiment, the current depth block will only inherit the motion information of the collocated texture block if one reference depth picture has the same POC (picture order count) and ViewId (view identifier) as the reference texture picture of the collocated texture block. In another embodiment, the encoder assigns the same total number of reference pictures for both the depth component and the collocated texture component for each reference list. Furthermore, the POC (picture order count) and the ViewId (view identifier) for both the depth image unit and the texture image unit are assigned to be the same for each reference list and for each reference picture.
