摘要： A cut pile fabric with substantially vertically standing tufts made of a synthetic multifilament yarn which is an intermingled yarn comprised of (a) a crimped multifilament yarn and (b) a non-crimped highly heat-shrinkable multifilament yarn having a heat shrinkage larger than that of the crimped multifilament yarn (a), and having thick portions and thin portions, alternately occurring along the length of each constituting filament of the yarn (b), said thick portions having a heat shrinkage larger than that of said thin portions. When heat-treated, the cut pile fabric provides a high-and-low cut pile fabric having a unique appearance. Especially when tip portions of cut piles of the crimped multifilament yarn (a) are entangled with each other, a cut pile fabric having a rugged surface with lumps of snarled piles is obtained.

摘要： A bulky polyester multifilament composite yarn having a delicate hand and an appropriate bulkiness, which comprises two types of polyester filaments FA and FB differing from each other in average filament length, the FA being formed from a polyester resin containing 0.1 to 9.0% by mass of a micropore-forming agent (e.g., a polyoxyalkylene polyether, a metal organic sulfonate, a metal-containing phosphorus compound, and the like) and 0.5 to 5.0% by mass of a residual elongation improver (e.g., a polymer of methyl methacrylate, a polymer of a styrene compound, a polymer of a methylpentene compound, and the like) based on the mass of the polyester-resin, the FA having an average filament length that is from 1.07 to 1.40 times the average filament length of the FB, and the FA forming the peripheral portion of the composite yarn.

摘要： After a polyester tow having a total denier of 5000 de is drafted at a ratio of between 10 and 20 and stretch broken, the obtained fiber bundle of staple fibers is subjected to a false twisting operation by means of a fluid jet nozzle, and then the false twisted fiber bundle is wound several turns around a hot roller heated at a temperature of 220.degree. C. and located in a detwisting region downstream from the false twisting nozzle. The surface fibers, which extend outwards because of the centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the fiber bundle during the detwisting thereof, suddenly stopped rotation when the fiber bundle contacts the hot roller, and the surface fibers wrap around the body portion of the fiber bundle to form a plurality of individual wrapping portions, in each of which the surface fibers are interlaced each other. Thus a spun-like yarn is obtained.
