    摘要: An output shaft is supported by means of a ball bearing at one end, a radial needle bearing and a thrust bearing. The ball bearing is arranged for supporting the output shaft against most part of radial load. On the other hand, the trust bearing is arranged for supporting the output shaft against the thrusting force which is exerted on the output shaft while the engine driving torque is transferred therethrough. Such construction reduces radial and thrusting stress to be exerted on the needle bearing. Therefore, the radial needle bearing to be used in the shown construction is required substantially small load capacity and thus can be satisfactorily small for allowing the transaxle unit to be designed compact.

    摘要: A hydraulic control system comprises first and second shift valves which cooperate with each other to effect a shift between two gear ratios. The first shift valve has a port and two different pressure acting areas which are exposed to pressure from the port depending upon downshift and upshift states of the first shift valve, respectively. The second shift valve effects communication between signal pressure generating means and the port of the first shift valve when the second shift valve is in one of two states to deliver the signal pressure to the port of the first shift valve. A kickdown pressure generating means delivers a kickdown pressure to the first shift valve.

    摘要: In an automatic power transmission having a transmission mechanism including fluid operated frictional units to be actuated to select automatic forward drive and reverse drive gear conditions and make a shift between the first and second gear ratios in the automatic forward drive range condition, a shock control arrangement is provided in the hydraulic control system for the transmission mechanism, comprising a pressure accumulator unit which takes up the fluid pressure to be applied to any of the frictional units during selection of the automatic forward drive range or reverse drive gear position or during upshifting between the first and second gear ratios in the automatic forward drive range, the level at which the pressure accumulator unit is to commence taking up of the fluid pressure for one of the frictional units being varied with engine load.

    摘要: A hydraulic control system for a torque converter including a lockup clutch is disclosed in which a first or feed passageway communicates with a source of pressurized fluid and with a torque converter chamber, a second or discharge passageway communicates with the torque converter chamber and a third passageway communicates with a lock-up control or clutch chamber of the lockup clutch. A lock-up control valve communicates with the same source of pressurized fluid and with the third passageway. The first passageway is provided with a flow restrictor. With the provision of the flow restrictor, the disengagement of the lockup clutch will be assured upon pressurization of the third passageway.
