摘要： An infrared data transmission and reception system capable of avoiding adverse effects due to infrared external noises includes a data transmitting circuit and a data receiving circuit of which the former is so constructed as to add a signal-free region of a predetermined length or a trailer to the terminating end of each of the frames of a data bit pulse train and the latter is so constructed as to discriminate between transmitted data and external noise by detecting whether or not the region corresponding to the trailer is signal-free with respect to a detected output, whereby a proper encoding output is generated on the basis of the discrimination.

Such a diamond coated tool can be obtained by carburizing the substrate consisting of a cemented carbide or a cermet, and growing up a diamond coating thereon.

摘要： A control system for an electromagnetic valve having a valve element, a pair of solenoids opposed to each other and disposed to drive the valve element in respective directions opposite to each other and between a first extreme position and a second extreme position, and a spring interposed between the solenoids, for biasing the valve element toward a neutral position intermediate between the first and second extreme positions. The solenoids are controlled such that when the valve element is to start moving from one of the first and second extreme positions toward the other extreme position, energization of a corresponding one of the solenoids is terminated, and energization of the other solenoid is started when a predetermined delay time period elapses from the termination of the corresponding one solenoid. The solenoids are also controlled such that they are both energized over a predetermined lap time period during movement of the valve element from one of the first and second extreme positions toward the other extreme position.

摘要： The operation of an electronic appliance, such as a cassette tape deck, is controlled completely or partially by switch operation. The appliance includes a memory for storage of control information, setting devices, such as switches, for entering the control information, a memory lock or latch for controlling the operating state of the appliance based on the control information supplied from the memory or from the setting devices to the memory lock, and for locking the appliance into such operating state, a display arrangement adapted for display of the setting information and for display of the information in the memory lock, and a setting change display indicator. The setting information stored in the memory can be checked by actuating a check switch, which causes the setting information stored in the memory to be displayed without affecting the operating state in which the appliance is locked. When the operating state is changed by a setting operation while the information previously stored in the memory has been transferred to the memory lock to control the operating state of the appliance, so that the contents of the memory lock (i.e., the operating state in which the appliance is locked) are not coincident with the corresponding information stored in the memory, the fact of such change is displayed on the setting change display indicator. This notifies an operator that the information is being changed, and assists the operator in avoiding unintentional errors.
