摘要： A transcoder reduces the processing amount when a coded stream to which at least intra prediction is applied is transcoded into a coded stream to which intra prediction and inter prediction are applied. The transcoder converts a first coded stream to at least part of which intra prediction is applied, into a second coded stream to which intra prediction and inter prediction are applied. The transcoder includes a decoding unit that decodes the first coded stream to generate decoded image data; a prediction mode obtaining unit that obtains a prediction mode of intra prediction applied in decoding; and a coding unit that codes the decoded image data by applying the intra prediction or inter prediction to generate the second coded stream. A control unit controls causes the coding unit to use the prediction mode obtained by the prediction mode obtaining unit when the coding unit applies intra prediction.

摘要： An image recording device (100) which records an input image includes an image generating unit (120) which generates the input image based on input electric signal, an image transforming unit (130) which generates a group of first frames which can be independently reproduced, by extracting frames at a predetermined time interval from frames included in the input image generated by the image generating unit (120) and by arranging, in chronological order, the extracted frames, and to generate a group of second frames using frames that are not in the group of first frames but are in the frames included in the input image, an image coding unit (140) which (i) codes the group of first frames generated by the image transforming unit (130) and outputs a first stream, and (ii) codes the group of second frames generated by the image transforming unit (130) and outputs a second stream, and a recording unit (150) which records the first stream and the second stream coded by the image coding unit (140) on a recording medium.

摘要： An image coder with a pre-record function includes a coding unit (11) which codes a motion-picture signal to generate closed GOPs or open GOPs, a buffer unit (14) in which at least one of the GOPs generated by the coding unit (11) is stored in a first-in first-out manner, a user I/F unit (12a) which receives instructions to start or stop capturing a moving picture, and a recording control unit (12b) which, before the user I/F unit (12a) receives an instruction to start capturing a moving picture, establishes a non-recording status and causes the coding unit (11) to start and continue coding the motion-picture signal so as to generate a GOP sequence including a closed GOP, and when the user I/F unit (12a) receives the instruction, switches from the non-recording status to a non-recording status and causes the coding unit (11) to generate a GOP sequence including only open GOPs.

A recording unit creates first and second folders, records the first compressed is image data and first control information for reproducing the first compressed image data in association with the first folder, and records the second compressed image data in association with the second folder.

The link information generation apparatus includes: a moving picture specification unit (1131) that specifies a still-picture-linked moving picture imaged during a time period including a time shown by the still picture imaging time information of the still picture data; a position information obtainment unit (1132) that obtains still-picture-corresponding position information showing a position in the still-picture-linked moving picture corresponding to the still picture imaging time information; and a link information generation unit (1133) that generates link information including still picture identification information for identifying the still picture data, moving picture identification information for identifying the still-picture-linked moving picture, and the still-picture-corresponding position information, and records the link information file including the link information on the recording medium at a position not contained in any of the first and second folders.
