Abstract:
The invention relates to a splittable adhesive tape (1) with a left-hand (l) and a right-hand (r) delimiting edge, wherein at least one of these two edges (l, r) is unstraight. The unstraight edge (l) has projections (V), which are rounded at their furthest projecting points (v).

Abstract:
A lamella for use in a vehicle tire vulcanization mold has projections and depression, wherein the height of the projections and the depth of the depressions extend substantially parallel to a peripheral surface of the tire tread of the vehicle tire to be molded in the vulcanization mold. Each one of the projections has a highest point-shaped location or top. Each one of the depressions has a lowest point-shaped location or crater. The projections and depressions are distributed according to a substantially uniform areal division. The areal division is defined by dividing lines extending in a dividing plane preferably centrally positioned between a first plane defined by the tops and a second plane defined by the craters. The dividing lines are comprised of three sets wherein the dividing lines within each one of the sets extend parallel to one another and wherein the dividing lines of different ones of the sets intercept one another at an angle of substantially 60° so that a grid of triangles is formed. Instead of point-shaped highest or lowest locations, line-shaped highest and lowest locations can be provided.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a process for preparing a foamed polymer composition using expandable hollow microbeads, wherein, in a first process strand, first starting materials, which include at least the predominant portion of the polymer or polymers to be used, are mixed and degassed to give a premix, whereafter this premix is subjected to a pressure such that the pairing of this pressure with the temperature of the premix is below the pressure and temperature pairing that is critical for triggering the expansion of the hollow microbeads to be used, wherein, in a second process strand, second starting materials, including the hollow microbeads to be used, are degassed, whereafter the second starting materials treated in the second process strand are added to the premix prepared in the first process strand, whereafter the second starting materials are mixed with the premix.
Abstract:
A vehicle tire having a profiled tread on the periphery of which are arranged pitches of at least two different lengths. In an axial direction, the tread is divided into several parts, with the successive pitch length in a given axial part forming a pitch sequence. To further reduce radial force fluctuations that induce vibrations by the transmission of noise into wheel suspension and body parts, the phase offset between the pitch sequences of the various tread parts is dimensioned such that the distance between the absolute extremes of the summation of weighted representations of a given function is minimal or at most 25% greater than this minimum. Each of the tread parts have associated therewith a function that is the successive plotting of successive pitch lengths of the pertaining tread part on the abscissa while marking off the respective pitch length, starting from the abscissa, onto the ordinate. From each of these functions a "representation" is determined that is what remains after elimination of all harmonic parts of greater than the x order, with "x" being an integer between 8 and 14. To determine this remainder, the function is first harmonically analyzed from the first to the x order, and from this information, including the phase information, the representation is generated by synthesis.
Abstract:
A rubber article has a body consisting of rubber and a reinforcement structure with cables embedded in the rubber body. The cables have at least one inner layer with at least one first filament wherein at least one first filament consists of a metallic alloy. The outermost layer has second filaments embedded adhesively in the rubber body. All of the first and second filaments that consist of a metallic alloy are coated with a corrosion-protective coating. The corrosion-protective coating for at least one of the first filaments consists of an intrinsically conductive polymer.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an adhesive layer for a bubble-free adhesive bond, the adhesive layer being formed from an adhesive and there being at least one channel made in the surface of the adhesive, characterized in that the adhesive has expanded, and also to a method of producing a sheet-like structure that bonds without bubbles, wherein an adhesive is applied as an adhesive layer to a functional layer and wherein at least one channel is made in the surface of the adhesive, characterized in that the adhesive is expanded.
Abstract:
Bubble-free bonding adhesive coating with a bonding material and a channel element, whereby the channel element is formed, at least temporarily, with a fitted cavity for the transportation of fluids, the channel element hereto has one thread entity with at least one thread, the channel element and the thread entity are fundamentally parallel to the extent of the surface and aligned with the adhesive coating, and a section of the surface of the thread entity forms a section of the surface of that side of the adhesive coating that is the bubble-free bonding adhesive surface of the adhesive coating.

Abstract:
A method for producing polymer profiles, having a varying thickness over their width and at least one longitudinal side tapering off to form a thin edge, includes of the following steps: Extruding simultaneously a plurality of the polymer profiles through a common die such that the thin edge of each one of the polymer profiles is connected to the thin edge of at least the neighboring one of the polymer profiles to form an interconnected extrudate; in a cross-section of the interconnected extrudate, providing an angle of between 45.degree. and 135.degree. between angle bisectors of neighboring ones of the polymer profiles; and separating the polymer profiles from one another after the step of extrusion.
