    摘要: A video tape recorder includes an integrated camera. There is a title image data storage for storing a plurality of title image data items and audio data storage for storing audio data items associated with the titles. In response to a title indication supplied from the operator, this apparatus reads out title image data and audio data from the respective storage so as to record or to produce these data items together with a video signal obtained through an imaging operation. A title and a voice can be effectively inserted in a shooting operation.

    摘要: A video camera includes a light receiving device to enable a remote control operation to be achieved and a tally lamp to indicate a state of operation of the camera to the operator. The light receiving device and the tally lamp are installed in a housing such that when travel members disposed in a lower portion of the housing travel on an annular rail arranged on the body of the camera, the light receiving device and the tally lamp are moved to change directions thereof with respect to the body. An operator causes light to enter the light receiving device from a desired direction so as to operate the camera and to recognize a state of the operation of the camera by visually checking the tally lamp.

    摘要: A helical scan video tape recorder includes a recording device having a head cylinder which carries magnetic heads therewith for rotating the head cylinder and applying incoming video signals to the magnetic heads to record the signals on a magnetic tape. A tape transport mechanism transports the tape while maintaining the tape in sliding contact with the head cylinder. A servo-lock sensing circuit senses a servo-locked condition in the recording device. A system controller responds to a record command entered on an operation board for controlling the tape transport mechanism to transport the tape in one direction to thereby record the video signals on the tape. In response to a record stop command also entered on the operation board, the system controller continuously records the video signals on the tape until a predetermined period of time expires after the entry of the record stop command, then controls the tape transport mechanism to stop transporting the tape, and then returns the tape by a predetermined length in the other direction. Further, upon the entry of the next record command, the system controller controls the tape transport mechanism to transport the tape in the one direction while servo-controlling the recording device and, when the servo-lock sensing circuit senses a servo-locked condition, controls the recording device to record the video signals on the tape. The predetermined period of time is selected such that a position on the tape where the servo-locked condition has been sensed substantially does not precede a position on the tape which is associated with the instant when the record stop command has been entered. A video camera may be implemented by such a video tape recorder and a video signal source which feeds video signals representative of a scene to the recorder by shooting the scene.

    摘要: A still video camera includes a color temperature sensor for detecting the color temperature of ambient light which is used in the color balance adjustment of video signals outputted from an image pickup system. The camera further includes a strobe emission circuit which produces a signal indicating when strobe emission is capable of being performed. A control circuit controls the adjustment of the color balance of the video signals on the basis of the color temperature detected by the color sensor in the absence of a strobe ready signal. Upon the activation of a shutter release switch, the control unit determines whether or not a strobe ready signal is present. If a strobe ready signal is present, the control unit fixes the color temperature to a predetermined constant value for color balance adjustment. Color balance adjustment is therefore made on the basis of a fixed constant color temperature corresponding to strobe light photography only when strobe light emission is to actually occur and prevents color balance from being adjusted on the basis of the fixed constant color temperature when the strobe emission circuit is in a ready state, but strobe light photography is not to be performed.

    摘要: An automatic focus adjusting apparatus of a camera in which an object is shot by use of an imaging lens having a variable focus. The apparatus includes a distance measuring unit for measuring a distance between the object and the camera, an adjusting device for adjusting the focus of the imaging lens, an operating unit for entering an instruction directing an automatic focusing operation, and a control unit responsive to a result of a measurement effected by the distance measuring unit and the instruction entered by the operating unit for controlling the adjusting unit. The control unit in an ordinary case controls the distance measuring unit at a first predetermined interval of time to cause the distance between the camera and the object to be measured, controls the adjusting device in response to the distance measured to cause the focus of the imaging lens to be adjusted at a first predetermined speed, and repeatedly effects controlling of the distance measuring unit and adjusting device at the first predetermined interval of time until the imaging lens is focused on the object. The control unit controls, when the automatic focus instruction is entered by the operating unit, the distance measuring unit to measure the distance between the object and the camera and the adjusting device to adjust the focus of the imaging lens at a second predetermined speed higher than the first predetermined speed.

    摘要: An electronic still camera includes a solid-state imaging device for generating electric charges corresponding to an incident light thereto and for producing in the form of a unit of video signals the electric charges in response to a driving signal. An exposing unit has an optical shutter which opens and closes in response to an instruction signal to expose the imaging device to the incident light. A recording unit for rotating a rotary recording medium records the unit of video signals on the rotary recording medium. A phase detector detects a predetermined rotation phase of the recording medium to produce a phase detect signal, and a control unit is responsive to a shutter release button and the phase detecting unit for controlling the imaging device, exposing unit, and recording unit. The unit of video signals are recorded on the recording medium in rotation beginning from the predetermined rotation phase of the recording medium with reference to the phase detect signal. The control unit supplies the exposing unit in response to the shutter release button with a first instruction signal for opening the shutter at a point of time advanced by an exposure time with respect to the phase detect signal, supplies a driving signal to the imaging device immediately before the shutter is opened so as to cause the imaging device to discharge electric charges therefrom, and supplies a second instruction signal to the exposing unit to close the shutter. When the optical shutter is closed, a driving signal is fed to the imaging device at an ordinary video signal rate to cause electric charges of the imaging device to be developed in the form of a unit of video signals into the recording unit, which in turn records the unit of video signals on the recording medium.
