    摘要： A novel stable silica sol which does not gel even at low temperatures is prepared by adding a di -or polyhydric alcohol having three or more carbon atoms and a water-soluble melamine resin to a silica sol. A novel water-based coating composition which requires only an applying step, not a baking step nor a drying step, in the use is prepared by adding an aggregate or filler and usual additives for coating material to the aforesaid stable silica sol as binder. By adding further a small amount of a synthetic resin emulsion to said binder, an inorganic coating composition containing a smaller amount of organic materials than that in prior products can be obtained. The coating therefrom is excellent in strength and its fire resistance is not lowered.

    摘要： An information retrieval system in which various information is indexed synthetically into such relations as the synonym, the broader term and the narrower term to provide a thesaurus and the words are coded to provide a keyword relation table, an index table and a word table each stored in a memory device respectively so that the desired information retrieval operation may be conveniently performed with use of a computer system. Particularly, a memory capacity even for memory of the thesaurus of large scale may be reduced considerably with simplification of the computer system.

    摘要： A terminal computer used as a workstation has a display unit which displays a desired number of windows on its display screen, allowing the windows to overlap one upon another. Plural pieces of data specifying the positions and sizes of the windows are stored into a memory. Data representing the display priorities of the windows are stored into another memory. A coordinate input device, known as "a mouse," is manually operated by an operator, and a cursor displayed on the screen of the display unit moves with movement of the mouse on a flat surface. The most current coordinates of the cursor on the screen are stored as present-cursor position data into a memory. A window presentation controlling section is provided for comparing the present-cursor position data with the positions and sizes of the windows. When the cursor is detected to have moved into one window on the screen, the window presentation controlling section controls the display unit to automatically move this window in front of the other windows on the screen. In this case, the frontmost window is entirely visible, while the other windows are hidden at least partially behind that window.
