摘要: There is proposed a mechanism for validating a communication device such as a UE for allowing usage of television radio bands/channels (TVWS). An identification verification process of the communication device is performed by including a unique identification element into an integrity protected and ciphered message related to a radio resource connection reconfiguration procedure, the unique identification element identifying a certified communication device allowed to use radio resources of a television radio band. The message is transmitted to the communication network for performing an identification verification processing with a TVWS database. Furthermore, a mechanism for a handover scenario is provided where validating of the communication device for allowing usage of television radio bands/channels (TVWS) is performed.

摘要: In a multi-RAT user equipment autonomous denials are used to stop LTE transmission to free frames or subframes for the transmission of e.g Bluetooth or WLAN signals. The use of the autonomous denials is limited per defined time period. The start of this time window may not be synchronised between UE and eNB. To avoid any synchronisation problems, a system frame number associated with the network entity is used as the basis for generating an indicator for the start of the time period. The indicator is then transmitted to the user equipment, which is adapted to respond to receipt of the indicator by configuring the user equipment to perform no more than a predetermined number of autonomous denials during the time period. The number of unsuccessful transmissions during the time period is then monitored by the network entity, and resource usage within the wireless communications network is selectively adapted on the basis of the monitoring.

摘要: A method, apparatus and computer program product provide improved detection of overlapping wireless networks. In this regard, the method, apparatus and computer program product may utilize a processor, such as a processor on a wireless access point, to determine one or more parameters for a scan of a wireless network to identify overlapping networks. Wireless stations may utilize the parameters to determine the content of a scan report generated from a scan of the wireless network. The wireless stations may further utilize the parameters to determine which values should be monitored and/or recorded during the scan of the network. The wireless stations may respond to the access point with results corresponding to the parameters requested by the access point, and the access point may use the results to determine channel access parameters for other devices on the network, such as the wireless stations.

摘要: A solution for uplink transmission in a cellular communication system is disclosed. The same uplink time-frequency resource are scheduled to at least two terminal devices, and sensing periods of unequal lengths are allocated to the at least two terminal devices. The sensing period defines a duration a terminal device senses the uplink time-frequency resource for a conflicting transmission before transmitting in the uplink time-frequency resource.
