摘要： Exemplary implementations may provide objective, continuous, and clinically useful assessment of asthma control in subjects including young children using a device that is compact, non-intrusive, and simple. The device may include a water-resistant, flexible patch that can be comfortably worn for two weeks or more. In some implementations, the patch may resemble a Band-Aid® that is placed on the supra-sternal notch. The device may record respiratory sounds that can be analyzed to identify coughing and wheezing episodes. The device may operate in different modes including ones for assessment of nocturnal symptoms, exercise-induced asthma, and overall asthma control. The device may be useful for objectively assessing asthma control to aid clinical therapy, and for an improved way to diagnose exercise-induced asthma.

摘要： A fluid delivery and airway management device including a tubular member dimensioned for introducing a fluid into a trachea of a mammal, the tubular member having a proximal portion, a distal portion, and a middle portion between the proximal portion and the distal portion. The tubular member is dimensioned for positioning of the proximal portion in an oral cavity of a mammal, the middle portion in an oropharynx of the mammal and the distal portion in an esophagus of the mammal. An inflatable oral cavity balloon is positioned at the proximal portion and dimensioned to occlude the oral cavity. An inflatable esophageal balloon is positioned at the distal portion and dimensioned to occlude the esophagus. Apertures may be formed within the middle portion such that a fluid introduced into the tubular member is output through the apertures to a trachea.

摘要： An apparatus may be configured for documenting a code blue scenario when adhered to the chest of a subject undergoing resuscitation by sensing and transmitting information associated with the code blue scenario. Such information may include one or more of vital signs of the subject during resuscitation, information associated with chest movements of the subject during resuscitation, and audio information from an environment of the subject during resuscitation. A computing platform that is separate and distinct from the apparatus may provide code blue documentation conveying information related to the vital signs of the subject and derived from the audio information from the environment of the subject during resuscitation.

摘要： A system including a monitoring device dimensioned for placement on a human. The monitoring device including a plurality of sensors for monitoring a sleep position, a temperature, a carbon dioxide level and a respiration of the human. The system further including a processing unit coupled to the monitoring device, the processing unit capable of processing information from the plurality of sensors and performing an algorithm to determine the presence of a sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) risk factor based on the information. A method may include monitoring two or more of a sleep position, a respiration, a temperature and a carbon dioxide level of a subject. An algorithm may be automatically performed based on the monitoring, to determine the presence of a SIDS risk factor. The results of the algorithm may be displayed and an alert can be sent to, for example, a mobile device based on the risk level.

摘要： Apparatus configured to detect congenital heart disease (CHD) in newborns may comprise a body with a cavity configured to receive a hand or foot of a newborn. Sensor pairs of the apparatus may be configured scan such that the best signals can be selected, which can accommodate for movements of the newborn and/or facilitate impartialness as to which body part is inserted in the apparatus. Positions of the sensor pairs may be adjusted to ensure contact with the newborn's skin. A disposable cover may protect the newborn's skin from contacting the apparatus. The apparatus may include a pressure device so that CHD threshold values can be adjusted for different altitudes. The apparatus may integrate with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
