摘要: A downhole assembly includes a disintegrable article, which contains a polymer matrix comprising a polymer having an oxygen content of about 2 wt% to about 30 wt%; an energetic material configured to generate heat upon activation to facilitate a chemical decomposition of the polymer; and at least one of a reinforcing fiber or a filler. The disintegrable article is disintegrated by disposing the downhole assembly in a downhole environment; performing a downhole operation; exposing the polymer in the polymer matrix to the generated heat to chemically decompose the polymer producing a decomposed product containing a small molecule in a supercritical state; and disintegrating the disintegrable article with the small molecule in the supercritical state.

摘要: A casing/liner string buoyancy arrangement including a casing/liner string, and a material defining a volume disposed within the string, the material excluding downhole fluids from the volume, the volume being of a lower specific gravity than the same downhole fluids. A method for managing buoyancy of a casing/liner string including configuring a casing/liner string, running the string, and selectively maintaining or degrading the material to adjust buoyancy of the string. A borehole system including a borehole in a subsurface formation, and an arrangement disposed in the borehole.

摘要: A downhole tool including a body having a function relevant to a selected environment, an electroactive polymer (EAP) anchor disposed with the body and configured to expand, upon application of an electric signal to the EAP, into loaded contact with a tubular member in which the downhole tool is to be set during use. A method for managing a borehole including running a tool to a selected depth in the borehole, applying an electric signal to the EAP, and anchoring the tool with the EAP. A borehole system including a borehole in a subsurface formation, a string in the borehole, a tool disposed within or as a part of the string.
