    摘要: In various embodiments, the present invention is directed to terpolymers of carbon monoxide (CO), olefins (alkenes), and epoxides, as well as related methods and catalysts for their making and use. These terpolymer chains are comprised of ketone repeat units, ester repeat units, and ether repeat units. The additional presence of the ester repeat units and ether repeat units have the effect of lowering terpolymer melt temperature relative to that of similar polyketone, thus separating melt temperature from decomposition temperature, making it suitable for melt processing. In a single reaction mixture, the same metal catalyst that polymerizes CO with olefins also incorporates epoxide monomers into the terpolymer in the form of ester or ester and ether linkages. As a part of the terpolymer chain, the ester groups can undergo hydrolysis, rendering these terpolymer compositions hydrolytically degradable.

    摘要: The present invention is generally directed to a new class of TPEs made from peptide terminated low Tg polymers and methods for making them. The middle block of these TPE is a telechelic polymer with a Tg that is below the intended service temperature of the TPE. The terminal peptide segments of these TPEs are short (from about 1 to about 10 amino acids long) and tend to from sheet type secondary structures through intermolecular hydrogen bonds, creating physical crosslinks between polymer chains. The dissimilarity of the peptide hard component and the elastomeric soft component results in very strong segregation between the microphase domains and a low plastic deformation for the resulting TPE. And since the Tm of the crystalline peptide phase can be adjusted, these new TPEs may be tailored to fit the intended service temperature and are melt-processable.

    摘要: A brake steering mechanism for a vehicle includes a vehicle body having a seat properly disposed at a preset area in opposition to a brake pedal and an acceleration pedal disposed at the front of the vehicle body thereof wherein a left and a right brake sticks are mounted to both lateral sides of the seat and linked to a left and a right brake components of a left and a right front wheels via a first and a second control wires respectively for controlling the movement of the left and right front wheels thereof respectively. A rear wheel with a rear brake component is disposed at the back of the vehicle body wherein the brake pedal is linked to the rear brake component thereof via a third control wire for controlling the movement of the rear wheel thereof. Thus, the vehicle body is easily turned to the left/right via the left/right brake sticks and doubly held in brake via the first, second, and third control wires thereof. Without holding stiffly onto a conventional steering wheel of a vehicle, a driver can drive comfortably with both hands placed naturally onto the left and right brake sticks by both sides of the seat thereof. Besides, with the conventional steering wheel removed there-from, the driver won't be blocked in view by the steering wheel so as to look straight ahead and see clearly the situations on the road to ensure the safety of driving.
